Many times I have had takeout at this restaurant and for a few months I said I want to have the dining experience today was that day for the dining experience and I must say the takeout does not compare to the dine experience. The serving portions dine in were excellent. The food with season two perfection as usual. The atmosphere was extremely lonely and comforting the hostess and waitress insured. I was comfortable the entire dining experience like the owner came out several times greeting his guest ensuring day enjoying the meal if you are in Hendersonville, North Carolina in search for a comfortable delicious homestyle cook meal tater baby scratch Kitchen is the place for you to be to Alex Ashleigh and their team. If you’re looking for true Southern comfort food done right, Tater Babies is already setting the bar high with plates like this.

The pork loin is beautifully cooked and tender, juicy, and full of flavor without being heavy or dry. It’s seasoned just right so the pork still tastes like pork, with a little browning on the outside that gives it that home style, just off the grill finish.

The collard greens are outstanding, slow cooked until perfectly tender, deeply savory, and packed with that smoky, slow simmered flavor that tastes like it came straight out of someone’s family recipe book. The black eyed peas are just as good, soft but not mushy, well seasoned, and balanced with a comforting, smoky richness.

And the biscuit deserves its own praise. Warm, soft, and fluffy on the inside with that perfect buttery bite, it’s the kind of biscuit you keep tearing into even after you think you’re full. It honestly tied the whole plate together.

All in all, this food feels authentic, comforting, and made with real care. If this is what Tater Babies is serving right out of the gate, they’re going to have a loyal crowd in no time!

Went here for the first time, after church, today. I normally do not do reviews, but had to share how good this place is. The food was fresh and very tasty. Good olde home cooking style. The restaurant was clean and the service was excellent. We definitely will go back. I encourage others to give them a try. Sure beats all the chain restaurants. If you want just good southern style cooking, this is the place to try.

We drove through today and wanted to try out a local restaurant. I loved the logo so we picked this place! The service was wonderful, friendly kind of folk, experienced and cheerful. The food wasn’t best but here’s what we thought of everything overall. The pork ribs were overly cooked and dry, the mac and cheese wasn’t creamy, but it was baked, the French fries were to salty, but the vegetables were delightful. All in all, due to the service and kind folks I would recommend this place because it brightened our day. Food could have been better. I hope the owners read the review and know it’s an honest one that’s not written to hinder, but to help make it better.

We would frequent Feta Flav and were sad to say farewell. Today we tried Tater Babies for the first time and oh em ggg. First of all the atmosphere and incredible staff are the same. We love Valentina, her personality and service rocks. The first thing we had was a biscuit and my Husband said they were heaven and tasted like cake, so fluffy and moist. They are the best we’ve ever had. We had the pot pie and grilled pork chops, Mac n cheese, creamed corn and fries. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious. That Mac n cheese was the best we’ve ever had, but I mean what can’t Alex cook? I got a banana pudding to go and a couple biscuits, Ashleigh might have created monsters. We can’t wait to try more, no doubt it will be amazing. If you want great service, clean restaurant, delicious food and affordable Tater babies is a must. What a gem for this area!!

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant or the owners. We have been several times since their opening and everything we have tried thus far has been absolutely amazing. The food reminds me of Sunday lunches at my Grandmother’s house grown up as a kid. Chef Ashley offers amazing in house made desserts too that you won’t want to miss out on. Chef Alex and CHEF Ashley both take great pride in serving only the best to their customers and want to ensure everyone has an amazing experience every time they come. The atmosphere warm / inviting and everything is kept clean. The wait staff is kind and they work very hard to ensure all of their customers are happy and well taken care of. Prices are great especially for the amount of food you are given. If you’re a fan of Cracker Barrel (I’m not) this place puts them to shame and after just one visit to Tater Babies you will never want to go back to CB again.

Pretty good. Over all not bad. People were friendly food was good air was clean and atmosphere was laid back. I had the southern fried steak with white rice, gravy and green beans it came with a biscuit. It all tasted good no complaints.
