Went there with friends on a Thursday night for dinner and to visit the Stranger Things Pop Up. City Kitchen has a Modern aesthetic. Casual but can be smart casual. Great for both groups and 1:1 dates.

They have a menu and you order at your table via QR code, but it is a food hall of different restaurants both asian and american.

Personally, would recommend ordering more than just one entrée a person because, unless you are getting an american burger and fries, the portions do not completely satiate your hunger. Taste is very flavorful but wish there was more of it in the plate. I had both the pho and the poke bowl and it filled me up.

The Stranger Things pop up was in a separate location (in a tent across from City Kitchen) but the bar served themed drinks! Loved!

Disappointment corrected by the owner, Joel. I was visiting for work. I use reviews to select places to eat. I came to the restaurant and ordered General Tso’s chicken. The chicken was burned black in spots. Most was overcooked. The owner contacted me to learn what happened so that he could improve the food and the service. It means a lot when the owner is sincere about providing a great dining service to patrons. Thanks, Joel. We’ll try it again on my next visit.

We hosted a company dinner in the upstairs open space at City Kitchen in Bakery Square, and once again, the experience exceeded expectations. This was our second event working with Joel and his partnership is exceptional.

This dinner is one of the most meaningful events we host each year, and Joel approaches it with the same level of care and ownership that we do. From thoughtful menu planning to flawless execution, he ensured every detail reflected the significance of the evening.

We collaborated closely to design a menu that was not only outstanding in flavor and presentation, but also well-portioned and fully accommodating of our diverse dietary needs. Joel worked seamlessly with the Chef to deliver a culinary experience that felt both elevated and personal. A standout touch: custom alcoholic and non-alcoholic signature cocktails designed in our company colors which added a beautiful and memorable detail that our team loved.

What truly sets Joel apart is his presence and commitment. He remained onsite throughout the evening, proactively ensuring everything ran smoothly and that our guests were well cared for.

If you’re looking for a venue that combines atmosphere, flexibility, and exceptional service, I highly recommend hosting your event at City Kitchen in Bakery Square. You will not be disappointed.

Very interesting dining experience, you scan a barcode on the table and you can order from several different kitchens in the same building !! Tons of amazing fresh food from all over the world is available ! All food allergies are clearly marked on the menu and meals were beyond delicious ! Will definitely be returning to try more unique menu items.

Love it here. Food is always good they have a nice happy hour Monday-Saturday. They have a few different restaurants that you can order from. You order from a QR code. They have outdoor seating as well as indoor. The drinks are good and strong. The poke nachos are delicious as well as the vegetarian rangoons.

I love having a place with multiple different restaurant concepts under one roof. Literally everyone can eat here, including every fusspot in your group. Somi’s Grass-fed Beef Pho is redonculously good but I’ve never had a bad meal there.

We had a great experience at City Kitchen this weekend! We went to the Stranger Things pop up and then stayed for dinner! The food was exceptional and the service was great! I liked being able to order myself using a QR code and I loved the variety of options in one location. I would say the only con to this is that you don’t have a set server taking care of you, so I was unsure if we could have refills of our pop and they were not offered either. We will definitely be back though, and I’m looking forward to it!

We went to The City Kitchen at Bakery Square on Friday, October 24. There were about 35 people from out of town for a family event. Some where already in town and some where still arriving. We did not know how to plan this because we didn’t know when people would come. The staff, led by Andrew, was amazing! We told them what was going on, and they immediately offered us multiple tables to accommodate our party, even though not everyone was present . It could not have worked out better and they could not have been more accommodating. People were able to order as they came and everything was seamless and taken care of. Everyone on the staff was extremely nice, professional and could not have been more friendly! All the food was great and we had a wonderful time! I so highly recommend this place if you have two people or 35 like we did. No stress, no hassle and terrific food served in a really nice environment. We all felt very welcomed and cared for. I live here and will be a frequent customer moving forward. Thank you City Kitchen!

Our 1st time here & it was recommended by locals. We enjoyed our food, good portions, and friendly service from all the staff we interacted with. Pleasant to chat as the music was not loud so good ambiance. We will return when we are next in Pittsburgh.

My wife and I were really impressed with this place. The service was exceptional. You essentially have a team that handles seating, serving drinks & food and checking in occasionally to make sure all is well. So many choices for food and drinks. My wife had Vietnamese rice bowl and I had drunken noodles. Both dishes came out piping hot.
Drink options were good too. I highly recommend you try this place.
