Aalloo Parantha : Salted/spiced potato stuffed Indian pancakes which is absolutely stunning. You can’t go wrong with em, bet on that and they ensure that it tastes beautiful, served with pickles and butter (see pics) great packing and served hot.
Chaat Papdi : Die hard Chaat Papdi fan for this entree menu item. It tasted pretty allright and they do good job on there. Recommended to eat it as soon as you get it, tastes much better…We had it in 30 minutes and it was pretty good.
Chicken Pakora : Fried strips of chicken tenders in chickpeas flour with some caraway seeds in it (think it’s there) and it tastes so good, close knock off to fried chicken tenders but tastes amazing and absolutely have em hot the sooner you eat the crunchier it’s in your mouth, really tasty.
Downside : we witnessed very casual service, had a feeling that staff was more interested in talking with her team members than taking my order request…Maybe one shouldn’t have high expectations. I’m a big fan of friendly and genuine customer service and can make out when staff has more interested topics to giggle than look after customer.
Willing to give it go again, to support local businesses and hope to get served good. Good luck team PH.
We tried parathas, paneer pakoda and aloo tikki from this place.
The aloo tikki was good but lacked a punch of condiments or spices. Was tasty but could’ve used some more heat.
The Aloo paratha and the mix paratha were good, large in size and was pretty fulfilling but lacked salt. Plus we were not served with any salad, yogurt or pickle with it which was a bummer.
The paneer pakoda was a disappointment for us. Lacked taste, spices and everything else. Was pretty bland for us. The chutney also lacked the punch that a green chutney should usually have.
Overall, not a very promising experience that will make us return for more.
The wait is a little high most times so calling to order is better 🙂
Felt slightly difficult to order in English. Food is a bit of a hit or miss, leaning to a miss to those who aren’t used to pranthas in their culture.
Expect to spend around $20 for a meal here.
Mainly it has vegetarian food, but also had some meat dishes.
I tried the large Chicken Tikka choice, and it was great.
The only problem is that it’s so popular that you may have to wait 30 minutes to get your meal.
Variety of options veg and non veg. There kulchas are more like bread
Complimentary masala chai
You can customised your paranthas – less oil, more salt, spicy, medium etc.
If you don’t specify, your paranthas are served almost bland. I like to say spicy for all paranthas.
Top to bottom, here is how I rate paranthas:
Paneer, Mix, Gobi, Muli. Ask for extra salt in paneer and spicy for all paranthas.
Pani puri, masala soda and paneer pakodas are all yummy!!!
