Order made online. Will never be returning.
A man was at the cash register fixing my order and boogers fell from his nose to his forearm 2 TIMES!! the second time he wiped it away with his forearm, acted like nothing happened and HE went to make our pizzas, without washing or anything. We HAD to cancel the order, absolutely nauseatingly disgusting!!
Food temperature: unsatisfactory: the pizza was barely above room temperature, the wings were hot.
Attention to detail/presentation: unsatisfactory: garlic sauce container had opened, spilling the contents into the pizza box. Only 1 pepperoncini pepper about the size of a teenager’s pinky fingernail was included.
Freshness: unsatisfactory: salad I got has a use by date 10 days ago! I’m not even going to try to choke it down. Decaying gasses are obviously accumulating, causing the plastic wrap to “dome.”
Taste: wings were quite good, pizza with new NY style crust was just okay, not well done as ordered.
Their email instructions state that you must have your hazards on and park in the parking lot in front of the building.
Then they will bring it out to you.
We waited for 30 minutes. Me and my wife discussed whether someone should go in and ask. No notifications, employees looking out the window at the vehicle and not coming out.
After 50 minutes I go inside.
It is chaos. I manage to flag an employee down and ask about our order. He is severely rude, walks to a shelf and looks at some pizzas stacked on one another. He says “not ready yet”
Being polite, I say okay and wait an additional 20 minutes.
A different employee asks if I have been helped. I told him I’m waiting for pizzas. I give him the name. He then goes to the same pizza shelf and says “oh here it is! It was done. Someone should have brought this out to you. Sorry about that.”
TL:DR, waited 70 minutes for employees to find out my order should have been walked out to us, and had to grab it myself.
Wanted to re-taste the pizza to see how good it is nowadays, so order one of the large specials with 3 toppings (sausage, meatball and bacon strips). Requested the pizza be backed well done, and the product was still under baked. Most disappointing. Having said that, I find that Papa John’s does delivered a higher quality of ingredients than its competitors. The meatball actually tasted very good. If the pizza can be baked longer, I am positive the pizza will actually be very good.
Will I order from the place again? Likely, just to give it another chance. If it does not work out, then the brand will be in the back burner again for a long while. Regardless, the staff there were pleasant and the store looked clean.
