Caviar happy hour is fun. Overall a pretty good deal for georgetown. Food is good but not consistent, chicken was slightly over cooked which is a little disappointing given the price point. However, we had a great time and the service is phenomenal! Overall I highly recommend going for happy hour, great atmosphere and yummy drinks & snacks.

An incredible dining experience we did for my girlfriend’s birthday! 6 courses with matching wine or cocktail pairings was absolutely the right move, even if we could hardly move at the end. Would absolutely come back as they rotate the menu!

Our server was fun and helpful, and the atmosphere was perfect for lunch on a chilly day. HIGHLY recommend. Debating forgoing our dinner reservation for tonight and coming back.

We had a great time. Cute street outside the main streets of Georgetown. Sat out the front for a very well presented martini. Then to the back patio / terrace for caviar, oysters and then starters and entrees. All delicious. Great wine list. House champagne was great then an indulgent Bordeaux. Service also fantastic.

Very fun Edgar Allen Poe experience! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. I loved hearing the stories that inspired each dish. I’d love to come back for other themed meals

This was our third visit to La Bohème, and each time feels like a new favorite. The space is intimate and stylish with just enough mood to make it feel like you’re dropping into the themes they embrace, but still relaxed and welcoming.

One of our favorite things about dining here is the cocktail pairings. It’s such a refreshing alternative to the usual wine pairings you see at most restaurants. The bar team clearly puts thought into how each drink complements the food, and the result is something really unique—you get bold, creative flavors that enhance the meal in surprising ways. It’s not just a pairing; it’s an experience.

The food itself is exceptional. The Miyazaki menu especially stands out—every dish is beautifully balanced, layered, and packed with umami. There’s obviously great precision behind the scenes, but it never feels fussy. You can tell the kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing and has fun doing it.

Service is consistently great—friendly, attentive, and informed, without being overbearing. Everyone we’ve interacted with has been warm and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, which makes the whole experience feel even more special.

La Bohème is one of those rare places that sticks with you. It’s inventive but grounded, elegant without the attitude, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

La Bohème is one of those rare restaurants that feels exciting every time you walk through the door. This was our third visit, and what keeps us coming back—aside from the excellent food and atmosphere—is the way the menu is always evolving which gives them tons of replay value! They rotate through seasonal, themed menus that feel fresh, intentional, and genuinely inspired. It’s never just a gimmick; you can tell there’s real thought behind each shift.

Each time we’ve dined here, we’ve experienced something completely different, yet it always feels true to the restaurant’s identity: refined but approachable, creative without being showy. The current Miyazaki menu is rich and deeply flavorful—full of unexpected combinations that work beautifully together. It’s the kind of food that makes you slow down and pay attention.

The space itself is warm and intimate, perfect for a date night or a small dinner with friends. The staff strike that ideal balance of knowledgeable and relaxed—always attentive, but never hovering. It’s the kind of service that makes you feel well taken care of without drawing attention to itself.

La Bohème has quickly become a favorite of ours. It’s the kind of place that keeps you curious and coming back. Highly recommend for anyone who loves thoughtful food in a beautiful setting.

TL:DR It’s fine dining done with a different theme every quarter or so. Creatively made thematic food and drinks with excellent, friendly service.

Long version: Wife and I discovered La Boheme during their Lord of the Rings theme on the recommendation of a friend. This restaurant creates dishes and paired cocktails in line with an ongoing theme (Lord of the Rings on our first visit). Food and cocktails were amazing. We learned they change the theme up every 3-4 months, and decided to try and come back whenever they introduce a new theme. Since Lord of the Rings, we’ve been back for the Studio Ghibli, Edgar Allen Poe, and Queen (the band) themes as well. It’s been enjoyable every time.

The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They put a lot of effort into researching each theme and having at least a general knowledge of the lore behind what they’re presenting (though I hope none of the staff were made to read the Silmarillion for the LotR theme).

The closest thing I have to a caveat is this: It’s fine dining in Georgetown, and the cost reflects that (though there are far more expensive restaurants in the area that aren’t nearly as unique). If you’re from the area, you already know how Georgetown is, but maybe a tourist would be surprised? For what you’re paying, its a very fun and enjoyable experience and worth attending at least once per new theme they introduce.

What an absolute gem! We went for the Tolkien-themed dinner and had one of the best meals of our lives! We’ve been to countless Michelin-starred restaurants and the food and service here was on par with all of them. The wine and cocktail pairings were perfect and reasonably priced as well. Do not hesitate to book a dinner here!
