Everything we ordered was superb. They have definitely earned this rating. Upon sitting, we asked our waitress how the bloody Mary was. Without skipping a beat, she told us that they were excellent. I initially thought she had to be overplaying them, but when they came I decided that she was spot on. Everything that I tasted was so good that I couldn’t decide what was going to be my next bite. Thanks Mojitos Bistro for a wonderful meal on our anniversary!

Disappointed. This could have easily been a better experience.

My friend and I arrived and were not greeted. Apparently, one of our party had already arrived and gotten a table which was being set up right in front of us, but neither front of house employee said hello or welcomed us. The person who wasn’t setting up the table seemed to be a customer waiting on another group bc there’s no obvious uniform or guidelines for employee dress code. The employee setting up the table left the area to take care of another table, and I mentioned something like, “okay, so I guess we aren’t getting greeted?” The other employee told us that we could sit wherever we liked, and that was when we realized that this other person was an employee. We mentioned that we are getting a table for seven, and she told us that the table being set up was for us. We hadn’t seen another of our party; he was in the restroom. We sat bc, hey, she said is ours, so we just felt like, don’t get mad if you’re wrong. That worked out, though.

The person in the restroom told the staff that there was no soap or paper towels in the restroom, and it was not corrected during our visit.

My friend and I sat waiting for our party (the person in the restroom took a few minutes), and we weren’t offered water/drink orders until the rest of our party arrived.

Our food was about half and half really great and average. The word bland was mentioned by a couple of people. It took a little while to come out, but not too long for hot and fresh food, which everything was. They forgot one person’s bacon and avocado. She had to ask more than once for it.

The checks took FOREVER. Then, one of our party wasn’t given her check with the rest of us.

There were only two people in front of house, but it wasn’t busy. Two people could easily have taken care of 4-5 tables, even with two groups of more than 4.

The staff was polite, but not personable. The place looked clean to me. The decor/atmosphere is great.

Visit this restaurant after walking through old Hammond. We wanted Salad Station but on Sunday it was closed. My husband, brother-n-law, his wife and myself decided on this place after viewing the menu. Let’s just say it was a HIT! We had Paradise pasta, carribean salad, and Lechon sandwich. Omg! Be warned the pasta is enough for 2 people and spicy. So worth every dime. Savannah was the bomb as our server. P.s. try the flavor water refreshing…mmm

We came here because it showed up as the only Cuban restaurant in Hammond. The place was nice and had a limited menu. The order came out fast but we did not think it was authentic Cuban food. I know different places put their own twist on what Cuban food is but I don’t think this was close to anything Cuban. It was definitely Caribbean food. Our waitress looked a little lost when we asked her questions but was ultimately very nice. After leaving my husband and I have been sick, stomach wise, for the past four days. FYI I am Cuban, so this is the reason behind me saying, I thought this wasn’t authentic Cuban food. Caribbean definitely. Will not be back.

If you just want to try something different and yet have the regular choices as well, this is a great place to go. It’s hard to find yummy plantains as an appetizer and they have it done right.
It’s big inside so you aren’t sitting on top of other guests. The selection of drinks or beer is good and our servers are always fantastic. Downtown Hammond and they even have a back door and patio seating in the back. It’s the only one on this side of the restaurant’s in Hammond that does. Nachos are good too.

This Latin American restaurant is a refreshing find and one of my favorite places to eat in Hammond. The staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, drinks are great (both alcoholic, coffee, and smoothies), the food has never disappointed, and I’d go back just for the maduros (sweet fried plantains). I give the edge to the pressed sandwiches over the entrees, but everything we’ve tried has been great.

I placed a phone order for a Cuban sandwich with a side of pasta salad and sweet & spicy short ribs. I received the Cuban roasted pork with a side of black beans. The ribs that weren’t sweet or spicy, I would describe them as crunchy brown gravy on short ribs. The experience explains why there were only two customers during lunchtime on a Saturday. The roasted pork was great although unexpected.
