Food here is so good… best soul food in town. The waitress was so kind and attentive. Our food came out so fresh and the chicken wings are a MUST try here. Glad we stumbled on this place, we will definitely be coming back.

I absolutely love it here I just don’t like that they changed the pricing and the meal servings are a lot smaller, so they give you less food but want you to pay more. If you’re looking for a good taste and the feeling of home cooked meals you should check it out. Specials daily. Hours of service suck though this used to be my go to but by the time I get off they’re already closed. Would love longer hours for this establishment. The food is great and family run which is a beautiful thing. Old school feel with a homestyle flavor. Fried chicken is to die for.

This was our first time coming here in a long time. We made it about an hour and half before closing. Jennie was our server and she’s extremely nice and helpful.
She gave us beautiful pink mother’s day roses. We ordered the catfish dinners, nuggets and fries, 3 chicken wing lunch meal, a side of fried okra, a side of rib tips, sweet tea and sprite.
The food was hot and delicious. They ran out of some of the sides since, it was busy and mother’s day. I would recommend coming here. I will come back next time we’re in town.

I visited Sam’s for the first time on 11/19/2025 and I was very impressed. The service was amazing. The food is very good. I had ordered the brisket,greens, potato salad and corn bread. I received big portions for a great price. I will recommend this place to everyone and anyone!! I will definitely be back!!

The food was great except there was a hair baked into my corn bread , first bite glade I noticed it before it was the in my mouth that would have ruin my whole lunch. I’m sure if the waitress would have come back to check if we were good she would have fixed it . The pork chop was good had great taste

Great service with a great waiter. The food was delicious so glad that we tried it out! I got the ribs with okra and fried mushrooms. I got 3 ribs which I only finished 1 and half, the okra was great fried but not dry and burnt. Polish sausage was a great side order too. It’s a must try place!

The fried fish was cooked perfectly how I like it. It was NOT seasoned well enough. The fries had NO SALT. The cornbread tasted like it was sitting out for 2 days. The candied yams was decent. They only serve macaroni on Fridays.. what kind of soul food place only sells macaroni on fridays? Once a week? Also when I was served my potato salad it came as a mashed potato form. I am highly confused since when does potato salad come MASHED? Also I have never been to a soul food place that doesn’t have dirty rice. The waitress so very nice and sweet. However, I do not recommend this place. Also the place when you walk in smells like pure SMOKE. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Came in here after reading some reviews, we have mixed feelings in regards to those. First off it’s kinda loud for very few people. Wife had the ribs, which were good, bbq sauce was ugh, tasted like sweet & sauce mixed with honey mustard or something and didn’t sit well with our stomachs. Cabbage was cooked good, coleslaw is homemade.
I had the catfish, which had a good tasteful batter seasoned with soul seasonings, pinto beans and fried okra is kinda the same everywhere. Sweet tea was on spot.

Had the smoked chicken, green beans, and candied yams. Everything was perfect. Menu prices were also very reasonable for such quality food. We’ll be back for sure!!
