The shining star of The View Grill is not the amazing view. It’s not the lovely decor. It’s not the convenient but still quiet location. It’s not the picturesque backdrop, perfect for photos with friends and family. It’s not even the fantastic food. It’s Jeanine DiMenna.
Jeanine’s excellence in the kitchen is topped only by her charm, grace, and genuine care and concern for her customers, which she truly treats as dear friends.
Years ago, we contracted The View for our first daughter’s first holy communion party. Things went not as well as we hoped due to a staff issue, but even though that was of no fault of Jeanine’s, she went above and beyond to make it right. She vowed if we gave her another chance with the first holy communion of our second daughter that she would promise to make it fantastic, and so we did, and so she did!
Even with the COVID restaurant restrictions, Jeanine made the day sparkle with enjoyment and delight for us and all our guests. Everything was prepared beautifully and the food was worthy of praise by kings. We were permitted to take some photos on the practice green, and enjoyed the sunset, from both inside and out of our private dining room.
We look forward to booking The View Grill again for future events.

The food is incredible and the service is amazing. Glen Cove is lucky to have this restaurant here. It has a real small town feel with city quality food. I strongly recommend giving The View a try and you’ll be sure to be back

My husband and I hosted a family luncheon for 20 people to celebrate our daughter’s baptism. Everything, from the food to service, was fabulous! Planning the event with Fred was a breeze and he went over and above with personal touches to make it a truly special day. Chef Jeanine’s food was wonderful — everyone complimented the dishes that were served, particularly the salmon and lamb — not easy dishes to serve to a crowd! Our server, Cher, was attentive and so easy going. Would highly recommend The View to anyone planning a small or large event!

The View Grill is gem! I’ve had their rib-eye steak and it rivals some of the best steak houses. Always cooked to perfection! The staff has always been great and I have never been disappointed with any meal. I highly recommend them. Plus, they make one of the best burgers on Long Island!

We recently held our son and daughter-in-law’s rehearsal diner at The View Grill. We were so impressed by Jeanine’s personal touch and dedication to serving the best food that we looked no further for a venue. Jeanine and Fred are the kindest, most patient and accommodating people to work with. The staff are genuinely friendly, professional but always with a personal touch. The rehearsal dinner was perfect, from the smallest touches like the personalized menu to the wonderful wait staff and delicious food. It could not have turned out better. I’m here working at a summer camp from England. My friend who is the bartender suggested the place and I tried the fish and chips. They were beautiful! Really reminded me of home. The cocktails were spot on. Ed and Jeanine are amazing staff and will make you feel right at home. Oh and to mention the view… fantastic ocean view.

We held my daughter’s bridal shower at The View Grill last Saturday afternoon. Everything was perfect from the beautiful table settings, the service, the quality and quantity of the food and the help with the planning. Michelle was a gem and was very patient with me and my numerous questions and concerns. The two young men (the servers) were very polite and professional with our guests. They were also very helpful after the party helping us to bring the numerous gifts to the car. My guests loved the mimosa bar and the champagne bottle was always cold and full. My guests raved about the food. The food was delicious, hot and well presented on the buffet. The omelette station was shut also. Janine was so kind and easy to work with and really did her best to please! I would like to thank everyone at The View for making my daughter’s bridal shower a perfect day!
