I had a delivery so just a medium review on Atmosphere.
I have had calzones at several higher end, reputable Italian restaurants in different regions of the US. None were as enjoyable as the one I just experienced “by delivery none the less” from Pipers Scratch Pizza in Palm Harbor Florida. The crust is tender, the ingredients All stand on their own and the sauce is perfect. The Best Calzone I have ever tasted! Thank you, I Will definitely be in to experience it without delivery.

It’s a Florida 3-4 star as far as Italian food goes. The pizza was good, the Stromboli was very good. The meatballs were not good, they were super tough and chewy. Their sauce tasted like it was from a jar, definitely not authentic. The Ceaser salads were pretty good. Also They are super expensive! My family and I ordered a delivery, it took over an hour to get here, so the food was not hot, but that’s not their fault.

I will need to give them another try because there is a lot of potential here, might have just had an off day…I place an online order for 4 pizzas and the wait time said 45-55 minutes, which was perfect because I was able to pick up 50 minutes from the time of ordering. I put a note in (cool feature) that the earliest I would be there was 4:05pm (50 mins from order) in hopes that my pizza wouldn’t be finished within 30 minutes and then just sit there for a while and get cold. Well, when I got my pizza at 4:02pm it felt like it had been ready for a while and sitting. The boxes weren’t very warm. I only live a mile away, but decided to try a slice in the car and it was luke warm.
I will say, the flavor was very good and I imagine if hot, this would have been a 5* review.

I’ve been coming to my dads house for years and couldn’t find a good Pizzeria. Through One Bite app, Dave Portnoys pizza one bite taste test, Pipers was on the list. We had the garlic knots, fresh garlic, hot fresh knots with a great marinara dipping sauce. It was very good. Then we had the Piper Roni pie. The texture of the crust was thin and it was nice and hot. The slice is cooked enough to fold and not flop over. The pepperoni’s were small and slightly crunchy, loved them. Fresh mozzarella and drops of ricotta cheese. One of the best pies I’ve had in this immediate area. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic pizza place tucked away in a shopping center. This has to be the best pizza value in the Tampa Bay Area. For prices pretty similar to the cost-cut chain stores that keep getting more miserly on toppings, you can have fresh, gourmet-quality food. I went last weekend and had garlic knots, cinnamon knots, and a pizza. The crust is great, these guys are hand stretching the dough made fresh everyday. Today I got a calzone and it is a huge value. You get a folded over pizza size calzone with a hearty amount of your toppings and generous ricotta and mozzarella cheese. Overall you are getting a lot of very fresh ingredients and real cheese. It is worth a drive over and they have indoor tables and outdoor tables so you can eat the hot pizza after your drive. Call ahead and they will take good care of you. I keep going back. This week I got the deep dish. It really highlights the contrast of a crispy crunchy exterior with a chewy interior. The pepperoni really contrasts well with the crust and other ingredients. I keep going back, I also got the Philly cheesesteak. The steak was really high quality and they make a really satisfying combination of meat, cheeses, and the peppers and onions.

LOVE this pizza. When a place has ~5 stars it’s usually too good to be true, but Piper’s lives up to it. Great quality sauce.
Favorites are: (1) Piper-Roni, (2) Pineapple Express + jalapeño. Also really good: (1) Marley Meatball, (2) Four Horsemen. Excited to try the next one!

I would love to review the food, but due to a DoorDash error I never actually received my order. That said, when I called the restaurant they immediately took responsibility for helping get the order refunded through both their system and DoorDash. It was an issue that was not their fault, yet they still stepped up and handled it professionally. I am looking forward to placing another order and writing a proper food review once I get a chance to actually try them. This might be the weirdest review I have ever written, but I think it is important to call out businesses that take care of customers when things go wrong.

Came here by chance and disnt expe t such great food. Pizza is on par with Joe’s from NY and the meatballs were delicious. Make sure to add a slice of mozerella on it. Service is great too. From the server to the chef are friendly. Thank you. If im back on this side Ill make sure to come again.

Having lived in Chicago for years, my wife and I know great pizza. We travel a lot and rarely find anything that comes close to the taste and freshness of pizza in the windy city. Well, Piper’s not only reminds us of great Chicago pizza, it was better than what we’re used to back home. The pizza was so delicious. The crust was perfectly cooked with a really nice golden edge. We ordered the Piperoni that had Double Cup N Char Pepperoni, Ricotta, finished with fresh Basil & drizzled with Hot Honey. Wow…totally delicious!! This is hands down the best pizza in the Palm Harbor area.

To say our visit to Piper’s was amazing would be an understatement. We had the meatballs, garlic knots, and the twisted margarita pizza. Everything was outstanding. The pizza specifically was so good. The crust was thin and so crispy. The cheese so delightful. Piper herself and the entire staff were so nice. I will definitely be back.
