⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ McKenzie Lanes – Centuria, WI

We absolutely loved our Friday Night Fish Fry at McKenzie Lanes! For just $15, you get four 2-2.5” pieces of superfine cornmeal battered cod, your choice of French fries or a baked potato (served with butter and sour cream), plus baked beans ( a bit on the sweet side), coleslaw, and a dinner roll. A classic Wisconsin spread done right.

The bowling area has 8 lanes, just $20 an hour, and $2 shoe rentals. Whether you’re local or visiting from the Cities, it’s an affordable night out for couples, families, or anyone who loves a little competition.

The staff? Warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Every question we had was answered with a smile. The whole place has a relaxed, small-town vibe — the kind where you instantly feel like you’ve been coming here for years. The bar alone has 25+ stools, 6 beers on the taps, and a big dining area with both high-tops and low-tops.

One thing we loved: while you can NOT eat your food or drink on the hardwood section of the bowling floor, the owners have built custom counters with comfortable seating facing the lanes, so you can eat or sip a drink without issue. Super thoughtful touch.

Our meals came out fast and piping hot, which is exactly what you want on a Friday night.

The menu’s surprisingly varied — 10”, 12”, and 14” pizzas, hearty bowls of chili topped with cheddar, raw onions, and sour cream, taco salads, and 15+ appetizers, from classic cheese curds to crab rangoon. They’ve also got weekly favorites like Taco Tuesday and (of course) the beloved Friday Fish Fry. Kids Meals. Happy Hour runs Monday–Friday: $1 off drinks.

It’s a family-friendly spot with fun extras like modern skill games for all ages and a digital jukebox that keeps the atmosphere lively. The restrooms were spotless (the counter in the women’s restroom could use an update ). The parking lot is enormous—honestly, it feels like the whole town could show up and you’d still find a place.

Five stars all the way — Great food, great bowling, and an even better staff. A true small-town gem that’s worth the drive.

Family went here on 2/20/26 for their fish fry as we try multiple places. We all ordered the fish, you get 4 bite size pieces choice of potato, slaw, roll and baked beans. Well first impression, the bite size pieces was a surprise, I was thinking more of a tad larger piece, but they we good, tarter sauce is very sweet. Tried the beans, they were on the WAY over done to well burnt, we all tried them, and that was it. The slaw was good, the bun was good as well, LOL but trying to butter it with cold hard butter was entertaining for my wife to watch. Nice place, but we will not be going back there to eat. Just go to bowl, that way more pleasant.

We took our family to bowl when they visited from out of state and had a blast.
Employee (I think her name was Sue) was friendly, efficient and very helpful.
The lanes were clean and well-lit. The food was excellent and arrived pretty quickly even though the place was busy.
We will definitely be back.

The bowling was great but the service at the bar was terrible
We ordered are food and it took over an hour to get it and a person in your group order a Dr.pepper it took 30 minutes to get that pop
We waited so long that most of party had to get Togo containers so they take it home with them
I’m very disappointed in the service at this place and I would never recommend this place to eat at.

I enjoy going here. I’ve bowled once and it’s very relaxed. I think they have the best gluten free pizza. I’ll drive an hour just to pick up a pizza from here. I do recommend.

Small place. More of a bar than a bowling alley. The lanes we had (1-3) have a slight wear to them. When the kids rolled the balls always followed the same pattern. We had a blast though. All of the employees were kind and helpful.

We really tried to give this place a chance because food in this town has very few option in small towns but this one just can’t deliver.
The food on occasionally very good, but often not.
This final occasion there was one other table and when we ordered they were served at same time.
We ordered 2 entrees and soup.
After a 25 minute wait the server bought out our soup and entrees at the same time.
The soup while excellent the entrees were over cooked and cold.
It’s not like this place is ever very busy, but there were 3 servers basically standing around.
The few other customers were very drunk loud and rude, yet the bartenders kept pouring.

Recently a new cafe opened up across the street.
And their croweded parking lot indicates where everyone chooses to eat now.

Support local businesses, unless it’s this place.
I don’t think they will be around after the next bowling season.

Came here for an annual bowling party. Had reservations for 2pm for 2 hours. Pre ordered 8 pizzas for 2:15. Started 10 minutes late. Lane 8 was down for 35 minutes and lane 4 was down for over 15 minutes. 4 pizzas ready at 2:15. When we got to 4pm time ran out on the lane 4 with 1 frame left to bowl. Staff refused to let us finish the game even though there was downtime on 2 different lanes including lane 4. We were told “there are reservations at 4pm” in the time they chose to argue with us about it the frames could have been done. We questioned why there was nobody there to fix the lanes when we had the entire bowling alley rented out and were informed the lanes don’t always break down. Two of the lanes had kids bowling as well and none of the bumper system worked you either had to leave it on or have it off when we question this we were told that they had been down since the lightning storm. At 4:28 there was still nobody bowling on lane 4. After much back and forth the finally credited us $17. Been coming here for multiple years and this will be our last. After speaking with the owner was informed that “the prices had changed but the website wasn’t updated yet” he did refund the difference for the cash price when we were charged the credit card price.

Friendly atmosphere and service. Their pizzas are among our favorites, but we’ve been pleased with everything we’ve eaten from their menu. The bar has plenty of seating and a great selection of beverages. There are adult gambling machines in the bar, a few games for the kids in the locker area and several lanes for bowling, but they host leagues, so call ahead or check the website for when they have open bowling. Family owned and operated.
