I had the Italian Eggs Benedict here, and they were simply outstanding—easily the best I’ve ever had, and I try them at restaurants all across the country. The flavors, presentation, and quality were flawless.

What stood out just as much as the food was the experience as a whole. Julie and Ellen were fabulous—warm, attentive, and genuinely joyful in their service. The restaurant itself is spotless, stylish, and creates a unique atmosphere that makes dining here memorable.

Kudos to the chef and the entire team for their passion and dedication—you can taste and feel it in every detail. Highly recommend this place, and I’ll definitely be back!

Me and my boyfriend wanted to go get some dinner and we live pretty close to Sauce. I was really surprised by how great the service was! We got seated very quickly, and our waitress was consistently checking up on us. The food was tasty and were nice portions! I’m not a fancy girl at all but this place definitely felt like a nice date night and the prices were extremely reasonable, not too expensive at all. Next time you think about going to Olive Garden come here instead!!

The drinks have been good, atmosphere quite nice. Food has not been impressive. Looks alright but doesn’t hit. First time I ate there with my sister for breakfast. The big fluffy egg thing she ordered looked very unappealing to me and she ended up getting sick, may have been the mimosa but I was on alert after that. Ate on the balcony recently. I ordered sliders, they were a bit too crispy but the sauce was good. The chips they came with weren’t seasoned well and too hard. Very crunchy meal.

Overall great experience! The ambiance was very nice, plenty of different types of seating to accommodate different sized parties. The food was delicious! I do wish they had a vegan option although they were able to accommodate me! The waitress was very helpful at finding something I could eat and making sure with the chefs it was vegan they even had vegan ice cream which was delicious!

The food was good, I think I was expecting more for the prices, when I say more I mean flavor wise, basically had spaghetti and cat fish, rice balls were a tasty app

I have not had any restaurant that was better in the city of Flint if you’re considering eating out definitely swing by Sauce you won’t be disappointed like alot of the other places.updated pictures 03/24/25

My fiancée and I wanted Italian food but didn’t feel like driving far, so living less than a mile from downtown Flint I checked Yelp and Google and found Sauce Italian American Kitchen inside the Hilton. It wasn’t busy when we arrived on a Monday evening, but what we ended up experiencing was honestly amazing.

We sat down and asked for wine recommendations, and our server James immediately stood out as knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about what he was serving. He recommended the Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon. We were not expecting much because the last few bottles we ordered at other restaurants were just okay, but this recommendation was absolutely on point. The wine was excellent and exactly the kind of red we enjoy.

My fiancée wanted burrata. I usually don’t care for it but agreed, and what came out was a seared burrata with sauce that was rich, warm, and seriously delicious. That was the beginning of a great night. James brought us bread with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and spices, and we loved it. I think it was sourdough but I’m not an expert, I just know we kept eating it.

For entrées, my fiancée chose the lasagna and I went with the chicken marsala. The timing was perfect, everything arrived hot and fresh just as we finished the appetizer and our first glass of wine. The chicken marsala was incredible. The seasoning was perfect, the sauce coated the spaghetti beautifully, and the mushrooms tasted fresh and flavorful. Easy 10 out of 10 for me. My fiancée loved the lasagna too and said it tasted homemade in the best way, exactly what she wanted after a long day working at the hospital.

We also had the chance to meet the chef behind the food, Chef Khalilah, and she was wonderful to talk to. You can tell she puts real passion into what she does, and it shows in every bite.

For dessert, my fiancée went with her classic tiramisu to end the night. I wanted an affogato even though it wasn’t on the menu, and James said he had espresso and vanilla ice cream and would figure it out. He absolutely came through. Total hero moment.

Honestly, this place deserves recognition. Great food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming vibe. People don’t always think of Flint as a destination for a great dinner, but they’re missing out. Sauce Italian American Kitchen delivered an awesome experience from start to finish. Huge kudos to James, Chef Khalilah, and the whole team. We’ll definitely be back.

This looks amazing, right? Unfortunately, it was insanely bland — all the salt and pepper in the world made no difference. The limoncello drop, however, was divine and the service bartender was so sweet!

Food was ok. We had chicken parm and chicken marsala. Taste-wise nothing special. Nice portions. The house salad was generous and fresh. The bread was terrible! Bland and slightly stale/dry.
Employees were pleasant.
All-in-all would not go back.
