Stopped by Jolly Kone for a quick lunch during a road trip through the Eastern Sierra, and it hit the spot without any fuss. I went for the black bean burger with fries—solid choice, with a hearty patty that’s flavorful and not overly mushy, paired with crispy fries that stayed hot. The rest of the group stuck to classic cheeseburgers, and they were thumbs-up all around: juicy, well-seasoned, and no complaints on the toppings. Meals clocked in around $11 each, which feels fair for the quality and portion size in this neck of the woods. Casual roadside vibe, friendly service, and a good break from the drive. Worth pulling over if you’re nearby.

Jolly Kone is a walk up and order burger joint, it has outdoor seating, both covered and uncovered. They have burgers, hot dogs, chicken, fries, they have snow cones and ice cream and milkshakes. This spot has a wide variety of things to choose from. We stopped here after Bodie State park. it was delicious!
We ordered a Mushroom Bacon Burger and a Bacon Cheese burger. Both were delicious, one of the better burgers I’ve had recently. We also got milk shakes – they have so many flavors to choose from or mix and match. The burgers came with fries and I opted to uncharted to chili fries. Everything here was delicious, the staff was friendly and patient, prices were great and they had fast service. This is definitely a good place to get a bite.

Not entirely the best customer service, senior staff rude to (what I can only assume was) a newer employee, burger was made wrong but then redone with no hassle; other than waiting at the window for a bit for them to give attention to me. The food was great and the calamari fries were nothing like I’ve ever had before, I understand guest service and food service can be stressful because I’m in that same department but I believe their hospitality is at very low standards. Shout out to that one girl though that complimented me, my tip goes 100% to her and not the older male.

Imagine this. Tuesday afternoon 2:30p / 78 degrees (hotter than your usual 78*) – Party of 2; Day trip drive from S. Lake Tahoe to Hwy 395.
We decide to take a quick break and stop at Bridgeport. With our luck, both businesses found on Yelp were located on the same parking lot.

I woud say this as the best place to enjoy ice cream if you are traveling from hot Nevada side of the route or you are looking for delicious food for anyone traveling on CA Hwy 395!!. I myself based out of New Jersey visited South Lake Tahoe and was on my way to Yosemite National Park. We enjoyed having ice cream and burgers at the family owned jelly Kone place. We personally being vegetarian were amazed to find vegan and vegetarian options and really had a great tasteful food in this beautiful Bridgeton neighborhood. We liked the hospitality by different family members during our visit twice at the restaurant.

This is a perfect place to stop in Bridgeport especially with kids, to get a quick bite to eat or a refreshing drink or ice cream. They have picnic tables outside front and back, and restrooms. I would have given them a 4 if the picnic area had been cleaner. We enjoyed a corn dog, a chili dog, French fries, snow cones and ice cream!

I’ve been coming here for many years and I will say they make the best Bacon Cheese Burger in all the land! No Kidding! I live on the West Slope and only visit Bridgeport once or twice a year, the rest of the time I only dream of their burger. Don’t even get burgers elsewhere anymore cuz they don’t add up to the standard Jolly Kone has set. When I was a bit younger we used to backpack above Twin Lakes for a weeks stay at a time or so and as soon as we got out we would come and get a Bacon Cheese Burger, and after backpack food it was like Heaven. This review is long over do but when I first came here there was no internet, so Thanks Mr. Jolly for making the best Burger I’ve ever had!!!!
Oh yea, one more thing. Burgers that cost twice as much don’t even come close!
