Planned our second visit to Clover Harvest and where pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Santa and Mrs. Clause. After inviting us in we were promptly seated and were lucky enough to get the bay window seat for two! The Window was beautifully decorated by a local artist and provided a great background for our meal. Mt wife had the Korean Style Chicken sandwich and a side salad with a tangy balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I had the Chicken and Waffle.
Both meals were served promptly and were delicious and satisfying. The portions were sized right and were a good value for the money. The wait staff was attending and friendly, the owner was involved and interested in everyone’s experience.
For desert, we had the Banana Pudding. It was smooth, creamy, and flavorful with just the right amount of sliced bananas.
Many families were observed enjoying their meals and getting their pictures taken with the Clauses before leaving.
What a great experience all around and truly a gem that keeps your heart yearning for a small town Christmas. Why watch it on the Hallmark Channel when you can live it in Clover, SC.
We all ate outside and they had very pretty flowers on the tables! Everything there is beautiful. There was no one there except employees, oddly enough. They deserve more customers
The staff there is so nice!! There was one woman who was super friendly and imo she deserves a reward lol. She was very talkative and very friendly. My family and I really enjoyed talking to her. I remember that she had glasses, some bracelets, and a necklace with the letter B. The other woman there was really friendly too. I could not express how thankful I am to know how nice and expressive some people are.
I really reccomend the Korean style chicken sandwich. It was kind of sweet kind of hot and it was a little crispy too. The potato fingerlings were really awesome too. They were perfectly salty and very crispy. I really reccomend this place. It is a little on the expensive side, but its worth it I swear.
We ordered a carry out, the food was delicious and we look forward to returning and dining in when we have more time.
I had the schnitzel and it was excellent excellent. My wife had the shrimp and grits and she really liked it as well. Grits were actually very very good. Fresh ingredients and really well made food.
Outdoor area was actually really nice with a covered deck, a covered patio, and outdoor tables. A full bar as well, so it could also be a good place for a drink. Highly recommend!
He ordered the chicken sandwich with candied bacon and macaroni and cheese.
I ordered the rainbow trout with veggie’s and crispy potato cuts.
My boyfriend and I talked about our meals on the way home and he told me that his chicken was a little overdone. Other than that, he said that the sandwich itself was on the small side. The mac and cheese was good.
I loved my meal. The rainbow trout was delicious!
I asked our waitress for some tarter sauce and as she was walking away from the table, she said “I’ve never gotten that before”.
We’re in the south honey, and I’m sorry, but tarter sauce should be served with fish. I don’t care how boutique-ish your restaurant is. And, btw – the tarter sauce was so good!!
We ordered the banana pudding to go because it was highly recommend. “Better than grandma’s”.
Nope.
Firstly, what we took home was not what I would consider banana pudding. There wasn’t one banana or one vanilla wafer. It was a highly whipped mash-up of vanilla flavoring and what I think was tiny white chocolate chips.
It was good, don’t get me wrong, but no.. it definitely wasn’t banana pudding.
And, I’ve posted a photo of the amount of said dessert. I have never seen so little of a dessert in a bowl. EVER.
I think the price was around $7.00.
I gave this restaurant 4 stars because I think there’s room for improvement. Especially in the portions department.
We will revisit.
Everything’s super fresh and I love the outside dining area.
Brunch is great here, too!
