Greeted with a great smile, and the attitudes were awesome! The menu was easy to read and the pics got me drooling very quickly. Was certainly difficult to decide what to have for dinner. I settled on the fried chicken (I chose wisely) and the cheese fries (I chose poorly).

The chicken was joyfully juicy, tantalizingly tasty, and mighty meaty. Definitely a win. Probably not a true representation of what the truck really offers, but hey, I found myself craving chicken that was fried.

Now, the cheese fries… sigh… just… nope. Frozen fries, 100% fake cheese, bacon (the tastiest part) and a smidgen of green onion. I was disappointed, but the wings made up for any real complaints.

When I find myself around this truck again I will undoubtedly find myself in line again and looking forward to trying one (or more) of their other dishes.

Terrific dinner was had at Maki’s. Food was on point from a half Peruvian perspective. Lomo saltado was tasty with a good cut of meat, yuca frita with a delicious sauce and the Chaufa was so good and not overly salty like many I’ve had at other places. Staff was awesome and the owner insured we were happy. Definitely recommend.

I think if u are serving food atleast try the food before serving it … I bought 3 plates with beef strips..look at the portions of the meat… I get home and I start to eat it looked good but the meat was way under cooked couldn’t even tear it apart other people tried it and said the same..the rice was undercooked to still a bit hard.. the fries well they were soggy.. it makes me mad that people take ur money knowing their food is no good ..I really wanted to take ur food back but what was that going to fix… this is by far the worse food I’ve ever tried….sad to say all 3 plates are in the trash my dogs wouldn’t even try it..that says alot about their food… try ur food before serving it to customers…. replying back to you… it is ur food isn’t it???.. I never said which day I ordered.. I have no reason to lie.. my experience was nasty.. not all ur reviews are good ..and I don’t have a need to call you..what is that going to fix..like I said..please taste ur food before serving..the food is still in the dumpster..if you want i can grab it and take it to you see if you can eat it ur self ..ur food was under cooked and that’s the point of MY story NOT urs

I got La peruana Maki #1 and did not like it at all, no flavor whatsoever. I will come back for the leche de tigre tho. I really want to try it. I originally came to get that bit they only sell it on Wednesdays… for 14 dollars it was just bad food. Now I have to go get lunch somewhere else.
Good people tho. I give the Maki 0 stars

Super flavorful! My wife and I loved it. We got Bistec a lo Pobre and Lomo Saltado. Ordered online and picked up on my commute home on 183A. I hope they stay at the Crossover location, we will definitely be back.

I was born and raised in Peru and it’s pretty hard to run into a place that has the flavors we get back home. The lomo was great! The “rocoto sauce” however, was just mayo and ketchup with some spicy powder-(mind you they charge 1.50 for the sauce so you could imagine how I felt after lol.) Hopefully they start making it properly. That would’ve sealed the deal. Thank you!!!

Food was terrible for the price. I would not get the sushi or the stir fry. Meat quality was chewy, also the noodles were terrible. If you like spaghetti noodles and bad sauce go for it!!

As someone who loves Peruvian food I was disappointed. The only one I liked was the sushi. I got the lomo saltado and the probre plate and the sushi. Not only that your fighting with your life with the flys and got charged 1.62 for chimichurry sauce.
