I’ll start with the fried green tomatoes (not pictured). They were the only thing we had that was worth bragging about. Would come back for the tomato’s and the tomato’s only.
The drinks were good. I enjoyed the old fashion and the tres hombres was good as well.
The brew boil was very disappointing. Everything tasted like it was boiled then the seasoning was sprinkled on top. Not having the option to pick a seasoning/spice level took away from the customers preference of how they like their boil. The crab legs were did not have enough meat in them for the price point. The shrimp were not great tasted undercooked. Nothing really held any flavor to me. The potato’s weren’t good either.
The redfish Devine was okay at best but the quality of the wasn’t great. There could’ve been more sauce on the dish which held most of the flavor. The fish was dry as well. The mashed potato’s and broccolini were cooked well but not seasoned well at all.
Our server was great. Wouldn’t take anything from Andrea. She took good care of us and check on us often making sure we had everything we needed. Overall I feel like for a $150 tab the dinner was a complete let down. Also the temperature of the food was subpar. It felt as if they just warmed it up a little and brought it out. The only dish that tasted fresh was the fried green tomatoes. That being said I’m not sure if I would be interested in coming back to try anything else.
Our waitress arrived afterwards and was pleasant. She greeted us with a smile and was able to clarify our order.
We ordered the crawfish bisque, gumbo, Redfish Devine and the seafood platter.
Our appetizers arrived within 15 minutes and the entrees soon after.
We really enjoyed the scenery and the jazz music playing in the background.
The crawfish bisque was good but not hot and my husband stated he liked the gumbo.
The seafood platter was good and the clams were not overcooked, per my husband. As for my redfish, it was good; cooked properly but not seasoned. The mashed potatoes were seasoned and delicious however, the broccolini had no seasoning at all.
The establishment is nice and in a great area for people watching. Staff are professional and cordial. Just add a little more seasoning.
We may return. I hope this establishment is around for a while with slight improvements.
The service was well intentioned but the food was not good and obviously they took little care with offering us a reasonable late Saturday meal. SHRIMP AND GRITS $26.00 which is exorbitant and outrageous if it’s not good. The grits I am sure were in the cooler scooped out into a pasta bowl and then had pre-made gummy sauce thrown on top with a few shrimp (put on top). The bowl when served was not double platted and just put atop a piece of butcher paper. $26.00 enteee deserves better.Really $6.18 for two unsweetened ice teas? The shrimp po boy was just ok and the condiments were served in those deplorable plastic ramaekins.
I don’t mind paying but it’s got to be good!
NOTE We did tip bc we know the waitress probably not the problem
I ordered the catfish and shrimp platter, which was well-seasoned, but I found the pasta to be underwhelming. My friend opted for the seafood boil, which she really enjoyed due to its great seasoning.
We also tried the peach miso, but we felt it missed the mark and was just average in taste.
On a positive note, Trinity’s customer service was exceptional. Her friendly attitude and bright smile genuinely enhanced our experience and made the visit enjoyable.
Service-Amazing and great customer service.
Atmosphere-10/10, the movie was amazing. I recommend sitting outside
