After a moderate length of time researching the best sashimi in Victoria, I tried Peter’s Sushi assorted sashimi platter. Everything was very fresh, and the plate was very nicely presented. The gentleman who served me was very friendly, and promptly answered my questions on the menu items prior to taking my order and also made recommendations at my request. The place was busy for a mid-week lunch hour, yet service pace wasn’t at all compromised. The large sashimi platter came to 50 dollars for 25 pieces (not including the tax and tip), which is the same as KFC crispy wings these days. Great value for the quality and experience. I’m not from Victoria but I won’t hesitate to go back when I’m in town.

Let me start off by saying that I’m a sushi snob, and this place is quite the little gem!
Pros: The ingredients are extremely fresh, the prices are decent, the staff are friendly, the place is clean, and I will absolutely be back.
Cons: There is no liquor license ( and I absolutely must have a hot sake with my sashimi. It makes it a complete package for my taste buds.)
The parking is strange, and can be difficult for trucks.
There are only 7 tables.

Peter’s Sushi is the freshest and best Japanese restaurant I’ve had around the West Shore. While it doesn’t have a huge selection of dishes, the seafood is incredibly fresh and made with high-quality ingredients. This is my fourth time eating at Peter’s Sushi in the last two months. My favorite is still Kainse Don. Since they don’t have many indoor seats, we prefer takeout. The takeout portions aren’t any smaller, and the presentation is still very appealing.

Best sushi restaurant ever!! Not only is the fish the best I’ve had on the island, the staff are amazing. Shout out to our server David for being so kind, bringing us extra sushi on the house, free ice cream and high chews to end our night! This is the second time I’ve been to Peter’s and have been given something on the house. The staff are phenomenal and the sushi is literally the best I’ve ever had. Can’t recommend this place more ❤️

Peter’s Sushi is a hidden gem. We were greeted to sit anywhere by kind staff, and when we ordered our food.. we were amazed once again. We didn’t think anything could top Nori Sushi in Nanaimo but this place is a neck and neck contender.. maybe even slightly better. We also had the seasonal Wagu which was also amazing.

Since moving to Victoria, I have been searching for a go-to sushi place. A few restaurants in Victoria have been delicious, but Peter’s Sushi is in a league of its own. High quality, fresh fish, super friendly service, and the establishment feels cute and cozy. I am so glad I found this place!

This is probably the best place for sushi in the whole CRD (or, at least in the top 3). Stopped by today for the first time. It’s a super small and cute shoppe run by two lovely staff members. I’m really picky when it comes to sushi, and I had the best Philidelphia roll of any restaurant in town by far. The Atlantic salmon sashimi was buttery, prefectly cut, and so delicious. The rice in my roll and nigiri was perfect, which is where so many restaurants tend to fall off with starchy/mushy or too much rice. The price for quality is exceptional, especially since it looks like they’ve got some grand opening promos going on right now. Just forget everywhere else and go here, espeically for takeout because they only have a few tables. I will be making the drive from the Peninsula to here everytime I need my sushi fix. 10/10.
Edit: I’ve been back several times and the sushi and sashimi is always outstanding. I continue to drive from Saanichton to Langford when I need my sushi fix, even with the insane gas prices! Peter, the owner and chef, is amazing at what he does!

Wonderful experience. Food was excellent. Very, very good sushi!! Staff were nice and welcoming. Ambiance was great, cozy cabin like feel from the building. Overall, I think this is one of the best places to eat sushi in Langford!

Can’t say enough how grateful and happy I was! Due to pregnancy, I was craving raw fish but also concerned to have. It took me a dreadful couple of weeks before deciding to go try after so many people recommended this place.
When I told the server that I’d like to have Hoedeop Bap but also avoid salmon and tuna and I’m pregnant, not only the chef came out to double check with me but I’ve got the impression that they’re confident in their food and its freshness. What I’ve got as a result was beyond my expectation. The number of different types of seafood without salmon and tuna was incredible as well as its taste.
I know, in the end, it’s my responsibility to choose to eat any risky food. But, their confidence and service, combined with how healthy and happy both I and the baby are, I can’t recommend this place enough.
