BACK & BETTER THAN EVER!!
After moving a few doors down and across the street, we were SO HAPPY to hear that our favorite place this side of Cedar Rapids was open again!!
The food was amazing as ever tonight, and the staff was busier than ever. Everyone is treated like family at Las Brasas. Steak Feliz for me, Chimichanga for my wife, and queso with the house salsa to share. Check the video — the flavor was even better! We had to drive full around the block to find parking, they were so popular, yet staff was on top of our needs, friendly as ever, and they were moving customers like clockwork. The new place is more intimate and with better seats and decor than the old. Back and better than ever!!

We went in and the atmosphere was great! They had a great lunch menu and everything on the menu looked and read so well. Our food was came and was super great. The server was one never to forget! They even gave us a gift card to come back. We will drive from Cedar Rapids just to go there!

Service was fast and friendly, had multiple staff members check in, not in an intrusive manner. Food was extremely well presented, came quickly and tasted fresh and delicious. Atmosphere was on point, music was entertaining, but not invasive. Great experience!

I love a great Mexican Restaurant! I was down in Texas for 17years and the food down there is THE BEST!! I have not found a great Mexican restaurant in Iowa until I went ((Las Brasas Restaurant)) in Anamosa Iowa!!! It is THE BEST!!! Not only is the food Amazing but Henry and his Wife and his Brother, Make you feel welcome every time you come in his restaurant! I have went to a lot of different places in Cedar Rapids, and my sister even took me to the new one that open up in Anamosa, I will not be going back there… I will always give a restaurant a try and give them a chance, but when you have the best it’s hard to go anywhere else!! I want my money going to someone who deserves it and puts there love and passion in what they do!!! HENRY!! We will always go to you for now on!! Thank you for the GREAT food!!☺️☺️❤️❤️

My partner and I went for dinner, we ordered Anamosa Special and I can say at the beginning the service was really great, it didn’t take us too much time to order but we wait around 1 hour for our food, once we got our food they forgot about us, I needed to asked them for the rest of our food and the check. The service was not good.

I usually reserve 5 stars for restaurants that are over the top and which typically make you pay for the experience but Las Brasas gets the extra star. While Las Brasas is more on the casual side, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and knowledge of the staff’s service, the delightful presentation and flavors of each dish. Las Brasas came highly recommended, and they did not disappoint. Will be back next time we come through Anamosa.
