E.A.R.L. in Kaka’ako undoubtedly serves fantastic food. The sandwiches are creative, packed with high-quality ingredients, and genuinely delicious, a testament to their culinary skill.
The one star deduction comes down to the overall value proposition. While the food is great, the prices are quite high given the area, and you can easily find similar quality sandwiches at other spots in Kaka’ako for less money. Furthermore, the seating is extremely limited, making it tough to dine in comfortably during busy hours. It’s a superb grab-and-go lunch, but for a premium price, one expects a bit more comfort or a more competitive cost.

Not my favorite bread. I wish they had different bread options, but everything else is great. The peppers I had on my sandwich were really good

Darn it, forgot to take a photo of my country fried chicken sando and waffle fries! Not a big fan of sandwiches, but this place hits the spot when that random craving hits. There’s a variety of fried chicken styles: Nashville, Country, Creamy Garlic, and Hot Honey Old Bay – the Country version had a yummy herb mayo that I wish they had slathered on. The sandwich had two crispy tasty breast pieces, which made for a surprisingly filling meal. Will come back to try the burgers.

Sandwiches here are phenomenal! I had the teriyaki burger and loved every bite. My Momma had the caprice sub and says it was fantastic. It took a little while to get our food, but once we had one bite we knew why. The artwork on the wall was so cool though! Masterfully executed!

After passing by a few times and being distracted by the delicious aroma I finally decided to go in. I must say, I was not disappointed. The inside was clean and not too busy at the time so I didn’t have to wait too long. The fries were fresh, hit and tasty. The sandwich itself was full of flavor. I did not expect to be taken aback by just how delicious it tasted. I also enjoyed a crisp, refreshing juice Lilikoi Lemonade. They had some unique sauces that really added to the overall flavor which left me feeling pleasantly full. Whenever I get the chance I always like to stop by for a good bite. Definitely recommend!

I have had a sandwich like that since I left Botton. It was well worth the wait.
Not only was it the best sandwich I’ve had, but the potions were piled on.
Very tasty and I would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a very delicious sandwich

My go to Sunday lunch place in kakaako. I probably order takeout from this place one or twice every month since before covid.
Over the years they refine the menu to focus on burgers, chicken, and subs. I have a few favorites like the po boy, cubano, French sub, firebird, creamy garlic chicken and the chicken box. Haha Lately I’ve been getting more into the specials like meatball, chopped cheese and the chicken parm subs. This past weekend was 3 kings chicken parm. That’s the picture you are seeing.
Cost vary in the $10 to $20 range, most $15 to $20 is typically.
Parking is still the most challenging here. That’s why I usually go on a Sunday where I can walk there. Mostly people will park at salt or h-mart parking garages. Both are free for the 1st hour. After that, you should purchase from the place and get validation to pay less.
I recommend earls ever since they opened in kakaako, and now they have a Kapolei location…nice!
Note during high traffic hours like lunch time, your sandwich order could be a long as 40 mins. Few times I ended up sitting outside by the health clinic because there is no room to wait nearby or inside. Other than that, no complaints.

$5 for a mini handful of waffle fries is a kick in the wallet. Also $20 for a sandwich hurts until you taste it. Excellent bread and bursting with flavor. I probably wont come back just based on the menu pricing but not a bad spot.

The sandwiches are fresh, they just aren’t worth the price in my opinion. Good customer service, dirty tables not cleaned by the staff, at least while we were there for 90 minutes.
