The chicken gyro was very flavorful and probably the best chicken gyro I’ve ever had. The lamb gyro has shredded lamb instead of the sliced gyro meat you get at most restaurants in the area. Everything was really good, I recommend getting the Greek street style on your gyro!

Excellent food!

Drove up to Centerville to try this place out and so glad we did. Look from the outside it’s got a chill vibe with a nice outdoor area with a few seats. Inside is just as inviting for a relaxed bite to eat.

The staff are awesome! Friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Traditional lamb Gyro was excellent and had just the right amount of everything on it. The Chicken Souvlaki Platter was delicious with everything made just right. Flavors were on point and tasted really fresh.

Baklava was delicious and tasted fresh! We’ll be back again for more!

NOT TYPICAL GYRO MEAT.

We came due to the rave reviews and were surprised they only serve braised and shredded lamb, not what you’d find in most gyros. We were let down by this.

I got the dinner plate. The rice was tasteless with no seasoning whatsoever. The lamb was tender and somewhat moist but with very little/no seasoning. The salad had no salt/pepper or any seasoning but was otherwise fine. The pita was warm and soft. The tzatziki was fine – nothing to write home about.

My hubby had the gyro and fries. The fries were fresh and seasoned very well. The gyro was a let down with the shredded/unseasoned lamb.

We will try this place again to see if the other items are better, but only if we’re in the area as it isn’t worth the 30min we drive to try this place.

The service was quick and friendly. They were very nice.

Absolutely delicious food! I always get the rice bowl here and it is so good, plus about enough food for 2 meals. The portions are reasonable and the service is great. The interior of the restaurant is bright and cheery, very welcoming on a gloomy day. Orders come from the kitchen quickly. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but they do have a rewards program to get money off on future orders. Will definitely keep coming back!

Came here for lunch on my break today. The gyro was unlike any gyro I’d ever had — I loved it! The Greek coffee was delicious, but it can be a bit jarring if you’re not used to it. The fries were decidedly some of the best fries I’ve had in the Dayton area!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, but not dead by any means. I felt very comfortable! I can’t wait to come back again soon!

A great little Greek joint in Centerville! I ate here while visiting family in Dayton and definitely recommend checking it out. They have a solid variety of menu items, from gyros to rice bowls, to salads and baklava. I ordered rice bowl with chicken breast (you can choose your protein, including a veggie option). My family ordered gyro combos. I can’t have dairy so it was great to be able to choose hummus instead of tzatziki. One of my family members got the Greek fries (pictured) with his gyro and the other ordered a Greek salad (not pictured, but still looked great). The staff was friendly and service was quick. The atmosphere was clean and organized, so it was clear the owners and staff put a great deal of care into the place. We ordered baklava to go, which made for a delicious evening treat!

11/10 don’t recommend! It was $14.00 for one gyro, and I paid extra for the lamb and the supreme toppings. Tasted like beef, had hardly any flavor! Arby’s makes a better gyro than the one I had today.

I tried this place after some raving reviews on Facebook had mentioned they have the best gyros in Dayton. I tried two gyros with lamb, one made the traditional way and one made the Greek street way. I think the Greek street gyro is significantly better, it adds just a little kick of acidity that I think their traditional gyro generally lacks.
As far as the lofty title of “Best Gyro” I’d agree, this gyro has nice soft bread, refreshing Tzatziki sauce, and supple shredded lamb.

First time diner and we were highly impressed! My daughter and I both ordered the dinner platters (chicken and shrimp). The came with an ample amount of seasoned protein, rice, cucumber and tomato salads, pita squares and tzatziki sauce. Everything was super fresh tasting and the portions were enough that I was able to box up half for lunch the next day. We also enjoyed the baklava which was a perfect normal portion size. The honey was delectable! We dined in and the restaurant was clean and modern looking. Very friendly and fast service. We will be back and highly recommend as an alternative to typical fast casual fare.

Greek Street is home to the best meal I’ve had in Dayton, OH and very nice yet hardworking people. Their food is always fresh and always delicious. Very accommodating to requests and can help with recommendations if asked. The owner is always upgrading and improving an already great establishment, it is worth visiting. Make sure to get the French fries (with cheese if you’re down) and the lamb rice bowl.
