Hà Nội Pho in South Lake Tahoe is a cozy, satisfying spot that hits the spot perfectly after a cold Tahoe day. The pho is flavorful, portions are generous, and the location is convenient right off Lake Tahoe Blvd, making it an easy choice when cravings for something hot and comforting kick in.
Food
• The broth in the pho is authentic, aromatic, and served piping hot, which feels amazing after time on the slopes or by the lake. And the broth is really clear and not oily and makes it standout
• Popular bowls like the rare beef, combo pho are made with very lean beef. The high quality ingredients make it one of my favourite option in the area
Atmosphere
• The dining room is small, clean, and simply decorated, giving it a warm, intimate feel that fits the mountain-town vibe.
• It sits in a small plaza on Lake Tahoe Blvd, so it is easy to find and makes a convenient stop between activities in South Lake Tahoe.
Service
• Staff are friendly, attentive, and keep things moving efficiently despite the limited seating and steady crowds
• Food usually comes out quickly once seated, and hot tea and drinks like Vietnamese iced coffee round out the experience nicely.
When to Visit
• This is a great place to warm up with a steaming bowl of pho in cold, wintry weather, which is when the restaurant really shines.

We arrived around 5 p.m. and chose to order to go. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming—they took our order quickly and invited us to wait inside. While we were waiting for our main dishes, they even asked if we wanted our drinks first and brought us water. It was one of the nicest waiting experiences we had during our trip.
The food was excellent and very generously portioned—none of the three of us could finish our mains. The pho had a deep, rich broth that was comforting and full of flavor. The vermicelli noodles were perfectly springy and paired well with the toppings. The ribs were tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The spring rolls were fresh, and their dipping sauce was rich and savory. The highlight of the meal was the bone marrow—creamy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, including the meat attached to it.
Overall, it was a perfect experience. Highly recommended.

We stumbled upon this place while searching for Vietnamese cuisine and, of course, stopped in for lunch. It was Saturday. All the seats were taken, so we had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table. But after that, the food was served quickly and it was very tasty. We couldn’t even finish it all, so we took some home with us.
There was a slightly strange situation with the restroom. They explained where it was, and we went to the end of the building. But the door was locked, and it turned out that we needed a key We had to go back and start all over again. My question to the employee: why didn’t they give us the key? Did they forget? So interesting…

The service was prompt, given its wasn’t full at our time of visit. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. The seating is ample without overcrowding. Our table was checked on often and we got great suggestions. Would 10/10 come back. We had the rare beef and brisket and oxtail was so tender. Additionally their Vietnamese coffee was creamy and smooth all while strong.

We LOVE this Pho restaurant. It’s our top pick for earing out in South Lake Tahoe. Their broth is perfectly aromatic and so comforting. My son and I each enjoyed the rare beef pho. My oldest son enjoyed the pork chow being. My little guy enjoyed the potsickers, but then he tried the pho and decided he’s getting that next time. They also ate the spring rolls as an appetizer. They have big portions, so my husband didn’t order his own item; he just ate from our abundance. We all left very full and wirh no leftovers, which was our goal since we’re leaving tomorrow.

We came after our ski session and the hot soup pho combination hit the spot. The portions are very giving and we had enough to split the bowl between toddler and parent. The vermicelli portions were also very filling.
The staff was also attentive. The only reason I didn’t give full stars was the public bathrooms in this strip mall were very poorly maintained.

The pho and Thai tea was fantastic and the service was great as well. It is conveniently located next to EV chargers so you can charge while eating. It is also across from the lake with views from outdoor seating.

Unexpectedly, after arrived Tahoe on late afternoon, me and my friends seek for some quick food. We found simple Vietnamese restaurant and it could stop our starvation, pho is really hot and big portion, but I think the noodle was too too much, meat was quite few compared with soup (my lady friends could eat just about 1/3 of the bowl). However, side dishes were really good and the sauce was okay. Overall price was reasonable. Decoration in the restaurant was not the big deal, it was quite grab and go. Toilet was inside the plaza and you have to bring the key from the restaurant to open it, not so clean.

The second time coming. We come to LT a few times a year and we are happy with this place. The pho, orange chicken, and Korean BBQ ribs are amazing. Definitely give it a try. Especially when there is snow in town.
