Go somewhere else! Our carryout order was ready 30 min later than expected. The $25 pizza was burned and we could literally find only ONE piece of pepperoni on it (see photo). Side salads for $7 each were paltry and disappointing. The people who work here seem wholly uninterested in their customers’ experiences.

First time here at Spang’s. Great menu options for every appetite.

Haven’t ordered pizza from here in quite a while. Thought we would try again after seeing good reviews. We are so glad we did. It was really good. Reminds us of one our favorite places in the Chicago suburbs before we moved up here. We will definitely order again.

We ordered dinner to go. The Lasagna was delicious. The Broiled fish fry was excellent! So happy they are back open for Dine In also.

Ordered a pizza online delivery. We live 5 miles away. It took over 1 1/2 hours to come. Over 1/2 later than the confirmation said it would be. I called and the guy said he was just leaving. 15 minutes later the delivery came. The driver was very grumpy and just handed me the pizza. Acted like it was a real bother. Pizza was warm but you could tell it sat for quite some time before being delivered.

Food was unexpectedly good. I was completely blown away by the quality. The chicken caprese sandwich was huge. The homemade chicken and rice soup was fantastic. Decent old fashions. Service was on par.

Spang’s is a mainstay in St. Germain, and I’ve been visiting since the early 70’s. All the staff were cheerful and attentive. The food was only okay, though. The gnocchi could be cooked a bit longer. Everything was a bit bland, spiritless. We were glad they were open on such a cold and rainy day.

Expansive Italian restaurant with app only ordering both for dining in and orders to go. Be prepared to order and pay (limited tipping options) with your phone on the “in house” network. The staff did seem able to help. Food was good and well prepared. The antipasto was freshly created, crisp where needed, and the dressings were excellent (Caesar and Blue cheese). We also had a thin crust “special spicy” pizza. Crust was nicely cooked and hand made and there was deep flavor in the sauce. Staff were courteous and attentive although it was not busy at close to 9pm. Old style decor inside and multiple dining rooms.

My family has dined at Spangs for many years and will never return after our experience July 16th. We stood in line in the rain before it opened to be sure that our family that included two young children would be seated and served promptly. A grumpy waiter took our order and promptly brought our beverages. Half of our group was seated on a bench that started separating from the back. We quickly got up and alerted the waiter. Instead of apologizing, he acted irritated with us and grumbled that they wouldn’t be able to use that seat the rest of the night. We were told to “just go to the back” and the waiter directed part of our party to a back room. The first of our food came about 5:50 and after talking to two people we finally received our third pizza about 6:40. The servers were nice and polite but the rest of the staff was rude and our experience was unacceptable. I understand that problems can happen but there is no excuse for rudeness and not responding to a customer’s phone call. We will not be back.

Spangs made our Fourth of July Picnic a huge success. My husband called and ordered two lasagnas, traditional and vegetarian to bring home. They had everything hot and ready and easy to transport. The traditional was tasty and the vegetarian was amazing. Raves from our family. Despite the heat and people our cottage stayed cool and family socialized comfortably. My only complaint…not much leftover!
Thank you Spangs!
