Tony and I was down at the Tybee Island Beach front and we decided to go on the Pier!
That is where the Riptide Bar is located since 1943!
Tony paid $4 for his PBR and I didn’t get anything.
I left him to sit on the wooden decking while I walked to the end of the pier
Definitely recommend and will definitely go again

I didn’t expect much as this is in the Pavilion and Pier at Tybee – they have a fantastic location – but the hamburger and hot dog were great! Good size and cooked well. The ice cream is Hershey’s and the kids loved it! The bar had the best drinks we tried in town. The service was excellent at all of 3 of their venues. Fair value for what you receive. Will definitely go there again.

I come back to this place year after year for the great drinks and even better service in a perfect location. You can walk right up from your beach towels or the shops and be served quickly. Sarah always makes us feel like locals and makes an excellent drink. Make sure to bring cash, as that’s what they accept here!

My family and I stopped by this little gem for a quick bite this afternoon. And WOW the cheeseburgers ( fully dressed) were delicious. My husband and step daughter ordered the chili nachos and let’s just say these was nothing left. Keep up the good work guys. This is a must try before leaving Tybee Island!!

Riptide bar and Grill was what made my experience at Tybee, having never been to the island before. Sarah, our bartender was extremely friendly and welcoming! The frozen piña coladas were DELICIOUS and perfect for a hot day, and the chicken fingers with spuds was great too. Definitely check it out!

I am writing this a few months after the visit but it was memorable in a great way.
We had grown tired of playing in the water and navigating through the sharp seashells on the shore. My wife took a heck of a wave that drug her across the sharp shells, and as I scurried to find her under the wave, i eventually helped pull her up to a standing position. As she stood there i saw the look of pain on her face but also the look of almost crying and “im done”. As i also looked down at the scrapes and cuts, i thought “bruh..thats bad”.
My man instincts decided to ask “how about we pack up and walk over to that place and find a good mixed drink”. She was in full agreement.
I think it was a pirate punch, sunset something something, but whatever it was, they were not shy on the ol alkeehawl in a good way. It was delicious.
Although she was still grimacing from pain, the drink saved the day and this place had my back and didn’t even know it.
The beach? Meh… but I would come this spot and get a drink again.

Disappointing .I have purchased many drinks over the years from here and ALWAYS left a good tip in their jar. I have also randomly left tips without making any purchase because I wanted to show support to them. Imagine my surprise when I walked up to them with a fist full of cash wanting to purchase 1 cup of ice and was told “NO” and go try the concession stand. Got me so ticked off that it ruined our beach trip. Thanks for that.
