So I usually love Biggby and even worked at one for a long time! Today I went to get me and my mom drinks a Salted Carmel latte and a Chai. I had already pulled away and tasted my drink and it was really disgusting I don’t know if they forgot to put any flavor in it or what but it tasted like milk and coffee. I then took off the lid and there was a bunch of white and brown things floating in it. I am really upset because I paid $17 for two drinks and after having a really bad morning I was looking forward to treating myself. Also they didn’t take my coupon?? I’ve never had a Biggby turn down a coupon before because it wasn’t the right location! Rockford and Cedar Biggby always took my coupons unless they were expired so I’m not sure if that’s a new rule or what. Do better Biggby you made an unhappy customer more unhappy.

Dear Biggby Coffee Management,

I am writing to share an unpleasant experience I had at your Biggby location on October 17, 2025, at approximately 6:43 p.m.

When I pulled up to the speaker, the barista (Employee #427948392) asked how she could help me. I began my order by requesting two plain bagels with cream cheese on one side. She audibly sighed, which made me feel as though my order was an inconvenience. When I continued with my drink order — a 16-ounce strawberry banana smoothie and a 16-ounce strawberry shortcake frozen drink — she replied curtly, “I’ll have your total at the window.”

At the window, her demeanor continued to feel cold and unprofessional. She handed me my food and drinks without telling me which drink was which. When I politely asked, she identified one, and when I asked for my receipt and who had taken my order, she seemed irritated. When I asked if she was having a bad day, she replied “no,” and stated that she was frustrated because she was the one making the bagels. I tried to explain that I understood, but that her tone and attitude were uncalled for. She then shut the window abruptly while I was still speaking.

This was disappointing and uncomfortable, especially in front of my children. I’ve always enjoyed Biggby’s friendly atmosphere, so this interaction was very out of character for what I expect from your team.

I would appreciate it if this matter could be addressed so future customers don’t have a similar experience.

I have never had an issue with this biggby until recently and I’ve lived in Sparta for years. Please retrain staff on how to talk to customers kindly and leaving the attitude at the door. I still left a tip because biggby was my first job but customers shouldn’t feel like an inconvenience for being there.

The service here is consistently average – not bad, but not particularly friendly or quick either. I’ve often had to wait a good bit of time for my drink, even when there isn’t a long line. The coffee itself is fine; it gets the job done but isn’t anything special.
What makes the experience uncomfortable is the constant pressure to tip at the drive-thru window. As a customer, I believe that tipping should be a choice based on good service, not an expected part of a transaction. Being asked to tip every time I hand over my card puts me in an awkward position and makes me less likely to want to return.

Great service and prices!

Update: they were pretty busy during my visit this morning. The staff seemed overwhelmed, but polite. It was a bit of a wait for my drink, but worth it! The quality of their product didn’t suffer from the busyness. My visit was during the morning of May 11th in Sparta, Michigan. Managers, kudos to your employees for their good job!

matcha shouldnt look like this. It tasted disgusting, lumps of matcha overwhelmingly bitter and way too much syrup making it sickeningly sweet at the same time. i just ended up going home and dumping it right down the sink. there was huge clumps of the matcha in the sink after too, thats insane.

Edit: I went back through and spoke to the barista, it’s absolutely not her fault but I will no longer buy matcha from biggby. Corporate changed their matcha powder and process and absolutely ruined it.

I like coffe
No I love coffee
But frankly this location can be ridiculous.
The coffee comes out fine, but I have to plan 15-20 minutes for the drive through because even 2 or 3 people in the drivethrough results in a huge backup
And I have regretted giving tips, despite generally wanting to give tips to baristas, because they have been rude and deadfaced, even slamming shut the window while I am trying to tell them that I want to give a tip.

If you’re the only person in line? Sure. If you have lots of time? Sure. If you don’t mind the most rude, mechanical service ever anyways.
But otherwise? Make your coffee at home.

The person who took my order got it wrong. Madison, who made the order was short with everyone there, both workers and customers. She gave me the order and I let her know that it was wrong, she told me to stop yelling at her and that she would make it. I never even raised my voice. I was polite and patient. She was rude to everyone. Her coworkers didn’t do anything to help the situation. I understand they were busy at the time but how you treat customers is everything.

I was in Sparta for the afternoon and had to work for a few hours. SO glad I found this Biggby! The staff was awesome & quick, store was clean, parking was easy, the menu had good selections and the taste of everything was great! It’s places like this Biggby that keep me away from the larger, national coffee chain. Shout out to Gabi and Katie!!

I went out of my way to come to this Biggby as there’s construction happening in front of the one I normally go to, and I was not disappointed! The drink and bagel I ordered was made correctly and the staff who helped me were polite and friendly!
