Social Profile:

We are a family owned restaurant specializing in Mexican cuisine, inspired by our roots in San Mateo Ozolco. In Nahuatl, ‘Tali’ translates to ‘land’ or ‘earth.’ We hope to showcase that in our dishes by bringing to you tortillas, quesadillas, huaraches and more, made from corn that is nixtamalized in-house and prepared fresh for you daily.

Uh this was an incredible find. A true gem. Not what I was expecting in Delco. This place shines. The chicken flautas were perfectly tender and perfectly crispy. Seasoned soo well… the birria tacos were braised and crisped to perfection . The ribeye mole was a treat but not my favorite. The authenticity of this place (Poblano) felt familiar, you could feel the soul in the food. The service was so kind and attentive. Again…this is a Mexican gem people.

E-Jo-Le!!! I was shocked to see what came in my order of Flautas and Tocos del Trompo. 4 tiny rolled tacos and 3 Tacos al Pastor. Don’t get me wrong the food was delicious, and the service was GREAT. What was not great, actually sad, no beans, no rice. At the rate of $14 and $15, plus an Horchata (rice water), I walked out paying $40 for this. I know everything has gone up in price, but a scoop of beans and rice would complete an otherwise delicious meal.

This is a phenomenal Gem outside of South Philly. Game over deliciousness: guacamole, agua chile negro, tacos al pastor, tacos bistec, quesadillas with a side of rice and beans and ended this indulging meal with the arroz con piña. We didn’t know it was BYOB, but we’ll definitely arrive with the bevvies next time around. The horchata was refreshing and had the perfect sweetness! This meal was perfection! Enjoy!

I’ve already gone back twice! Time for review as this is a gem restaurant in Upper Darby!
Wonferful Horchata. Fresh made corn tortillas! Birra tacos (no pics) were outstanding, and quesadilla is delicious. The provided sauces are amazing too. I wish this restaurant a successful path! They’ll get my money again 🙂

❤️ Tlali- Upper Daby – West Chester Pike – My new favorite local latin lover…. I love going to South Street to the Mexican restaurants there, but the parking is of-so-painful (or expensive in the nearby lots) This place reminds me of Blue Corn in terms of it’s offerings and authenticity (but with a lot less tinsel).

We came in and were greeted warmly. We got the octopus cocktail, cemitas (no translation – just Mesican rolls for sandwiches) roasted park oaxaca cheese sandwich, jamaicas (sweet tea from special mexican flowers) and salted branzino with made-right-there blue corn tortillas … my normally extremely picky shrunken human described all the food as “heaven”. so fresh. Such a great find if you are just a chicken quesadilla person but if you are on the more adventurous side and don’t want all the cliche Mexican dishes ( burritos and tacos) then this is the perfect place.

Blink and you’ll miss it, it’s small and not a bunch of tables inside… probably a great place acoustics-wise to go since it’s small and at this point not crowded. (ALthough I hope by posting this that will change).

Follow them first on IG or FB to see the dedication and soul that goes into the dishes… his mama in Mexico makes the mole sauce and then sends it to them to finish cooking. I loved seeing the post showing how they pounded their own blue corn to make their own tortillas and watching their marinating and roasting process for their meats…. ingredients matter and so does Tlali – our new favorite find. ❤️

Very cute and quaint place. I love how you can see the chef cooking. Authentic and savory foods. We ordered the beef empanadas (the best I’ve ever had), birria tacos, quacamole and a jamica drinks. I can’t wait to go back!

Outstanding Mexican food! We went for Saturday lunch.

We were told that Tlali means “Land”. The chef has ties to Puebla State in Mexico.

The trip from where we live in CC PHL was not long and super easy. We took the Market Frankfort Line to the end and then did the short walk to the restaurant (cross the street from the station and use the sidewalk on the south side of the street…it’s better and safer). Cross back at the Upper Darby Police Station building. Of course, driving is an option.

We have had a place in Oaxaca, MX, since 2019. Oaxaca is well-known as a food capital in Mexico, and we think we know good Mexican food when we find it.

At Tlali we had a delicious chicken quessadilla, excellent beef tacos with full slices of arrechera meat, a steak over masa and cactus, and a creamy dessert flan. The masa and tortillas were definitely home made. The jamaica drink was tasty and not too sweet. The menu has lots of choices, the young ladies who served the food were sweet ,and the space was attractive.

This new Mexican restaurant in Upper Darby PA was featured on TV and it looked so good so I decided to try. I was impressed by the Mexican wall hanging decorations and cozy atmosphere of the dining area. I could see the kitchen and it looked clean and modern. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was authentic and excellent. We ordered Guacamole Con Tostadas for appetizer. The guacamole with cilantro and onions was delicious! For entrees we ordered Al Pastor and Michmole. All of the dishes were delicious and tasty. We definitely will come back for the delicious Mexican food at this restaurant.
