We each decided to rate each dish out of 10:
Marinara pasta: 8/10
Really good but could’ve used a bit more flavor and the garlic bread was so good!
Combination taco/relleno/enchilada plate: 9/10
Delicious! Everything was really good except the rice, it had no flavor
Alfredo pasta: 6/10
The Alfredo wasn’t the best, it was pretty bland but after some salt it was better, but the bread was delicious!
Southwest BBQ burger: 7/10
Rocky Mountain Ruby Trout: 8/10
The trout was really good but the rice had no flavor
The tiny sign in the window said there’s an accessible entrance. It was not obvious, as it was on the side near the back. It was blocked off with a very heavy railing. The staff saw multiple groups (at least 4 disabled people) struggling with the stairs at the front, and couldn’t take a moment to point it out and move the rail. (We figured it out on the way out, because I went looking around. The other group didn’t.)
They claim they can accommodate large groups, yet they had to split up our group of 11 people. Most of the seating isn’t accessible either, as the layout is tiered.
We asked about ingredients/allergens. All the waiter said was, “I don’t know.” He wasn’t willing to go ask the chef. One person in our group ended up having a pretty bad reaction. I had a mild reaction. Thank goodness for rescue meds.
Some of our group liked the food. My shrimp was undercooked, and the fries were cold and soft. The cole slaw tasted like a mouth full of onion, with a hint of green peppers, neither of which even belong in cole slaw, and are what caused the allergic reactions.
The place is falling apart and smells musty. My arm was scratched on a nail sticking out of the corner of the wall where there used to be wooden trim. The ceiling looks like it’s sagging from water damage. At least the bathrooms were clean.
This was the worst dining experience I’ve had. It really tainted the whole experience of the trip.
Despite the crowd, the waitress was pleasant, kind, and helpful to everyone. She explained the menu options and answered questions.
They have a hot buffet and a salad bar, which were fresh and delicious. The rest of the menu was quite varied and the items looked good.
