The menu has something for everyone. They have appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wings and pizza. We started with Lil Niko’s pepperoni balls which tasted great. We ordered a Tavern pizza with pepperoni, green peppers and black olives. The Tavern Pizza had a crispy thin crust, plenty of toppings and tasted great. The sauce was full of flavor. Not like your average pizza sauce. We also ordered the sweet/hot boneless wings. The wings were crispy and had plenty sauce to dip in.
Lefty’s is a great addition to the restaurant scene in downtown Cumberland. When you’re in the area, stop by and check them out.
I got the deep dish house special pizza that had blue cheese, pepperonis, sweet pepper, onions, etc. and it was absolutely fantastic! My friend got the chicken Parmesan that was overcooked, dry, tough and somehow still cold and the cheese was not melted and it was just terrible. He ended up eating half of my pizza. He said the fries were good though. The service was extremely lacking. It took us forever to even get wait staff’s attention. We kept seeing them go down the hallway outside the restaurant- I think that the kitchen was located somewhere else. And I know that it is a new place so I hope it gets Penny better.
Will definitely try again and possibly update my review, but for now I would think after being open for about a month they should be a little more on top of it than they were today. I think that a few of the servers were new and at least one of the other servers was definitely working pretty hard to pick up the slack. It was also a Sunday afternoon and one of the few places open.
Will check back in another month or two! I hope they get better because the pizza really was fantastic!
The onion rings and sauce were fantastic. We also split a tavern pizza (the mother teresa) that was delicious! I’m excited to try more things on the menu and can definitely say this is one of my favorite pizza spots in western MD (Wild ember and JJs now have some competition) 🙂
Emma was an amazing server.
Very happy with my experience here.
