Lefty’s was awesome. Lefty’s located in the heart of downtown Cumberland has a vibe of a big city bistro or cafe. Comfortable seating with a tavern atmosphere. My girlfriend, daughter and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. Cheech was our waitress and she was very friendly and attentive. She did a great job.
The menu has something for everyone. They have appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wings and pizza. We started with Lil Niko’s pepperoni balls which tasted great. We ordered a Tavern pizza with pepperoni, green peppers and black olives. The Tavern Pizza had a crispy thin crust, plenty of toppings and tasted great. The sauce was full of flavor. Not like your average pizza sauce. We also ordered the sweet/hot boneless wings. The wings were crispy and had plenty sauce to dip in.
Lefty’s is a great addition to the restaurant scene in downtown Cumberland. When you’re in the area, stop by and check them out.

Supposed to be Detroit pizza but was only 4 pieces and at $20 wth.. also the sauce was under the cheese and the crust was not thick it was compressed and not fluffy. The fries tasted like they had sugar on them. The wings were hard and dry

This place recently opened. The server asked what we would like to drink. We asked for a drink menu. And then we waited for about 10 minutes. We were never given a food menu until we asked for one. The Lefty lemonade was fantastic. The painkiller was pretty good, but it didn’t have nutmeg in it, that I could taste.

I got the deep dish house special pizza that had blue cheese, pepperonis, sweet pepper, onions, etc. and it was absolutely fantastic! My friend got the chicken Parmesan that was overcooked, dry, tough and somehow still cold and the cheese was not melted and it was just terrible. He ended up eating half of my pizza. He said the fries were good though. The service was extremely lacking. It took us forever to even get wait staff’s attention. We kept seeing them go down the hallway outside the restaurant- I think that the kitchen was located somewhere else. And I know that it is a new place so I hope it gets Penny better.

Will definitely try again and possibly update my review, but for now I would think after being open for about a month they should be a little more on top of it than they were today. I think that a few of the servers were new and at least one of the other servers was definitely working pretty hard to pick up the slack. It was also a Sunday afternoon and one of the few places open.

Will check back in another month or two! I hope they get better because the pizza really was fantastic!

We went to Lefty’s for the first time. The staff were super friendly and we were seated quickly. We ordered appetizers and drinks. It took a little while for the food to come out. We expected that with it opening recently. The food was delicious! We enjoyed it so much. The drinks were delish! Great value for the money. We’ll be back. Love this place!

Awesome little pizza place! I was there with some friends when we got pizza, wings, and fries. All were amazing, but I gotta say, those fries were perfect! Barely managed to get a pic of the pizza – we were hungry. Highly recommend!

Me and my husband went for lunch/ dinner tonight and it was good. The fries was great we love the seasoning on them. The dipping sauce for the onion rings was really good. The pizza need a little more sauce but it was good. Can’t wait to go back

Stopped in for lunch and decided to try the Detroit style house pizza. Was not disappointed, it was luscious! Crust was golden and fluffy, toppings relish, and crusty cheese around the corners! Staff was pleasant and attentive. My only one complaint was the music was a little too loud for conversation.

Went to dinner with my partner around 9:20 PM on a Sunday night and they were gracious enough to host us so close to closing time. The servers were so nice and didn’t rush us, despite how late we got there. The vibe of the place was great (interior design + r&b music hits) and we will definitely be back!!

The onion rings and sauce were fantastic. We also split a tavern pizza (the mother teresa) that was delicious! I’m excited to try more things on the menu and can definitely say this is one of my favorite pizza spots in western MD (Wild ember and JJs now have some competition) 🙂

We got to try Lefty’s and our food was delicious. Our wings were big, hot and crispy, the battered fries were really good as well. We also had a Detroit pizza that was delicious as well. They were busy so they were a little slow with service but it is understandable as they are a new restaurant. We will definitely be back.
