Atmosphere is excellent. After eating here a few days I can say the sauces make the meal. The garlic herb sauce on the bacon wrap shrimp taste fantastic. My wife liked the specialty mixed drinks. Chair 3 and 8 are her favorite. My only complaint was the salads. They were small portioned, plain, and limp.

It’s the perfect restaurant in Durango. Massively high ceilings provide a cathedral feel when walking in. When we went there it wasn’t very busy thankfully because we couldn’t have been much hungrier.
The waitstaff was wonderful. The food was prepared fresh and in great quantity. No one will leave a meal hungry!
I might pay special attention to the fries. Not sure the last time you enjoyed a truly fresh cut, thick potato French fry, but this is it. This is the one to splurge for. It’s amazing.
Everything we ordered was terrific. I absolutely recommend this hai lace and understand completely why it has a five star review.

we went there for valentine day and they had a lovely preset menu! Food was delicious, not cheap but well worth it given its one of the only nice restaurants within miles. The owner (Chrissy) was lovely and even offered us a ride back to our condo at Purgatory Mountain due to snowstorm, waitress (Maddie) was equally lovely and very attentive. Definitely will go back when in the area.

By far some of the best food my wife and I have ever had. Every ingredient had a purpose and was executed masterfully. The service was absolutely incredible. The staff and ownership were present and happy to have a conversation or two. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. This is the kind of restaurant that should be featured in places to go in every Colorado magazine.

Just had our first dining experience here and we are impressed. So glad that Chrissy (formerly of the Sow’s Ear) has her own place. We loved the views, the fireplace, the service, the food, and the drinks, it was all great really. The Salmon and Burger were especially good, and don’t miss out on an opportunity to eat those yummy parmesan fries. Will have to return to try the appetizers and dessert (salad and entrees were enough for tonight)

The BEST formal dining on the mountain. The staff was so lovely and accommodating. The food was outstanding. It’s so rare to go to a place where every. Single. Thing. You order is amazing. And let’s not forget the gorgeous views of the twilights and engineer mountain !

My wife and I were fortunate to have had dinner at The Lift last Sunday evening culminating a week long vacation on the mountain. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were fantastic. As good as any fine restaurant we had ever experienced. We will be looking forward to our trip next year and making sure that The Lift will again be part of our experience in the San Juans.

So Happy to have a high quality restaurant here at Cascade Village. The food was excellent and the service was spot on. The atmosphere and those views are really hard to beat. The convenience of having an upscale style restaurant is wonderful and not having to drive down the mountain every time is great. I would recommend the Calamari and Filet Mignon.

Party of 8. Last night. Special was pork and two ordered/enjoyed, 2 more had chicken/ok. Caesar Salad was bitter tasting. 3 others had pasta (doughy/gritty). Bill was $400 and we left a $100 tip. I know they were trying, just felt like you need this feedback.

The Lift is a delightful new restaurant venue at Cascade Village. We have been homeowners in the area since 2009 and, other than The Nugget, this is the first new restaurant on the mountain in that time. There has always been Purgys, Schoolhouse Pizza and the Sows Ear but this is the first new sit down fine dining in over a decade. We understand they opened May 27, 2021. On our visit, May 29, 2021, our steak au pouvoir was wonderful, our son enjoyed his burger and the wait staff were delightful. We look forward to trying other options such as the trout on future visits. The fare ranged from high end to middle of the road prices. Currently it is BYOB with a reasonable corkage fee; however, I understand they are waiting on a liquor license and plan to have a full bar and wine list. We desperately hope Cascade Village supports this new business as they are providing wonderful fare in a stunning location with incredible views of Engineer Peak and the surrounding mountains. Only Maroon Bells outside of Aspen is a more beautiful location and there are no restaurants there!
