Inner Knowing
Food was not very good. The chicken fried steak was unfortunately very dry and tough. The eggs weren’t terrible but the hash browns tasted dried out and old (maybe freezer burnt?) They were out of most everything on the menu. There were no pancakes or waffles nor deserts nor most of the main items on the menu & drink menu which was very disappointing. The staff dissappeared and we had to grab our own to go boxes from behind the counter. We waited for them but they didn’t return from wherever they went. After my husband grabbed our to go boxes, my husband went to the door of the kitchen (back area) and called out for the server and after several attempts nobody came. We then waited awhile longer but we drive truck so we had to leave. We went into the attached Flying J and spoke with the gal at the counter inside the store but she said the restaurant is a separate business so we were at a loss. We’ve never experienced this kind of thing before. I’m not sure what else can be said aside that. I’m sure the Huddle house could be much better if it was run properly and it was a shame too because we were excited to try the food as this was our first time at a Huddle house restaurant. I hope this review finds the person it needs to find so this can hopefully be fixed.

To start i want to say that the service by the 2 your lady’s was great, in no way shape or form do i blame them. They are why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. Now to the review…
I have eaten at this location twice now. Today being the second time, and it was just as bad as the first. I walked in and waited almost 10 min in an empty dirty (pictures included) restaurant to find out its a sit where you want to by the two young lady’s i mentioned earlier after they came in for their start of shift. While I was waiting i could see to other lady’s in the back and could hear them talking and laughing using vulgar language, ( im a driver so that didnt bother me, but not how you present yourself especially being a family type restaurant) come to find out it was the store manger (on crutches) and one of the mid shift employees. They both soon left after I was seated. I ordered and soon found out that they were out of gravy and couldn’t make more because there was no clean dishes to cook more. I waited 20 min for my food to arrive to have greasy soggy hash browns, what tasted like pre cooked reheated bacon, sausage and over easy eggs. The hashbrowns had black specs in them from the obviously dirty flat top, as did the bacon. You can also see the amount of grease floating on top of the egg yolks.
I got a waffle as well and it also had old burnt pieces on it from the dirty waffle makers. The waffle its self was thick and chewy and also had a burnt black nugget on the bottom of it.
I feel bad for the 2 girls who got left this dumpster fire of a restaurant to clean by themselves….
I also included photos of what I ordered and what I got last time.
Food is horrible, service im guessing is depending on who you get, and the atmosphere is horrible as well… id rather take my chances with taco bell…

We ordered jalapeño poppers and they gave us old fries with like 4 poppers hidden underneath. I ordered the chef salad and added crispy chicken to it. It tasted like Walmart salad that I forgot to bring to work so I had to eat it the next day. My husband liked his burrito but it wasn’t wrapped properly. It took them well over 30 minutes to feed us and we were the only ones there. I get that they didn’t have many workers but I for sure will not be coming back. I was waiting for Gordon Ramsay to pop out and start yelling. I would like to add that the server was very professional and nice though.

Worst I have ever been to, server was present when i arrived then left, food was ordered was buffalo shrimp and chicken basket, and as pictured i was given chicken with a dish of hot sause, 2 different kinds of chicken. No marinara, just nasty food. Never again.

Nice place I’m greatful for the Service dew to short staffing. A few customers interested restaurant. I totally understand it’s tough to serve everyone when we the customers are sitting all in different places. I just want to say thank for your Courtesy And your politeness. In Servicing me . I sometimes we just need a little Patience And some understanding Everybody wants things in a hurry What is just understandable Sometimes we gotta look at other situations not only be concerned with ourselves. I with the manager He ask if my pattie melt with tots was ok. I said yes it was good . Had some coffee ☕ I kindly ask for creamer and some honey . I like to put honey in my coffee ☕ . So he went to Bring it over to the table. I think the staff did there best to serve in the best possible why. So I give they 5 . I enjoyed the visit thanks .

The waitress was very friendly and perky considering she was the only one trying to take care of the 5 customers that kinda came in at the same time with others waiting to place orders. She was very apologetic for the long wait. The food was good.

Walking at 11:45 they close at 12 and without hesitation they asked me on in Made my dinner and did it with a smile Some of the best service I’ve had at a truck stop dinner joint. I got me a BLT with extra bacon to go and it was absolutely delicious.

The worst place to eat at a truck stop. My experience was the worst but I cannot believe after my order was prepared the cook didn’t wash his hands after handling raw bacon and sausage. The waitress attempted to help him plate food with unwashed hands. I would stay away from this place. The bun is hard and the patty is like rubber. I can’t believe a hamburger was over cooked this bad.

They must have been out of pulled pork because we got shredded bacon instead. And of course the lipstick. We must be stupid. I don’t know why we continue to come back every 6 months or so to see if it somehow got better. There is absolutely no hope for this location. We’re done for good.
