A wonderful meal and great service at Fazio Cucina.

My wife and I ate here and had a great meal and dining experience. This seems to be a golf course restaurant that was redone with a new chef. I am not local so I don’t know for sure the details, but this restaurant will quickly become the go to place for elevated but relaxed dining.

The chef is from Catania Sicily and the food was wonderful. I had the salmon with lemon, capers, fresh rosemary and prosciutto wrapped asparagus which was well prepared and delicious. My wife had a homemade tagliatelle pasta and ragù sauce dish she said was great.

The couple we dinned with had the tagliatelle and the chicken entree and enjoyed their meals also.

The menu and wine list is small. 4 pasta dishes, four salad appetizers and 4 meat dishes (veal, chicken, filet and salmon). But it should easily be enough for most people to find something to enjoy. Personally I like a smaller menu like this as it it can showcase well prepared meals and feature in season ingredients.

The wine list was about 8 white and 8 red wines all available by the glass or the bottle. The wine list leans towards Italian wines, with a few other regions represented. We shared a Chianti that was smooth and mellow. Well suited to my wife’s pasta and did not overpower my salmon. Only beer and wine was available.

Service was attentive and professional without being stuffy. The staff was warm and friendly and added to the dining experience.

I highly recommend making a reservation, but make the reservation via phoning directly. There was a mixup with my reservation via Google. We luckily were able to be seated and this was the only issue of the evening.

Currently this is a relatively unknown restaurant. It is not on Yelp, The Fork or Trip Advisor. I am sure by summer reservations will be needed well in advance.

A true hidden gem.

Absolutely remarkable experience! From the lovely decor in this restaurant to the excellent service, you cannot go wrong with a visit here. I tried EVERYTHING on the menu with my family and I can honestly say that this is the Italian experience you crave to have at every establishment, but will only find here. The pasta and all of their dishes are made in house (nothing frozen) and you can tell the chef prioritizes quality with his attention to detail and excellent pairings in each dish. On top of the appetizers and entrees, the desserts are to die for and beyond delicious! I’ve never tried a better Italian restaurant before and I can’t remember the last time I’ve had food that was this flavorful. Highly recommended!

Amazing. This restaurant is the definition of hidden gem. The atmosphere is cozy without feeling claustrophobic. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I had the prosciutto and mozzarella salad accompanied by the shrimp risotto. Perfection. Every dish was Amazing. The entire experience was perfect. And, the prices are very reasonable. Go. Go now.

Amazing meal tonight at the new restaurant in Hilton Head Lakes, Fazio Cucina Italiana! Freshly made pasta and bread. Zabaglione was by far the best dessert I have ever had. You definitely need to make reservations for this restaurant. You won’t regret it. ❤️

Moderately good. Gnocchi were chewy, didn’t taste like they were made in house but sauce was good. The miniscule Caesar salad was ok, but nothing great & very, very small portion. The tomato & mozzarella was ok, nothing special, we do same thing at home with mozzarella from Costco. I’ve been to Italy several times & never seen any place heavily use balsamic reduction. I’ll never understand why some US restaurants insist on putting it with good olive oil for bread or use it on so many things, it overwhelms the other flavors. Hopefully they can up their game, would be nice to have some great food in the area.

The food, service, background music, was perfect! We have experienced Michelin rated restaurants over the years…Fazio is comparable! Congratulations to Chef/Owner Misael Mejia!
7/21:This evening’s starter baratta with seasoned tomato, prosciutto, in a balsamic reduction was uniquely flavorful! The filet mignon in a black reduction mushroom truffle sauce over puff pastry potato, grilled asparagus, with a sprig of rosemary was an invitation to return to this incredibly fine dining restaurant!! I would recommend a collared shirt, nice shorts are acceptable. The staff and Chef Misael are Michelin rated from our dining experiences. 5 stars!!!

I had dinner at Fazio’s on Monday evening (4-10-23) along with three other people. We all had different entrees, and each was superb. It was our first time at Fazio’s but surely won’t be our last. The atmosphere was excellent but what really stood out was the truly extraordinary service. The wait staff was the best I have ever experienced in 20 years of Lowcountry living. They were attentive but unobtrusive, and seemed to anticipate our every need. I hope people will support this great restaurant because the area needs a quality dining facility like Fazio’s. Thank you to the wonderful staff for providing such a great evening for us.
