This is the best place for lunch in the entire valley. Been here about a dozen times and am blown away every time! The food is epic, portions are uneatable, and the service every time is 5-star. There’s nothing on the menu I wouldn’t recommend. Love this place!!

Knickerbocker’s Deli is truly a hidden gem tucked away in the Old Mill Office Building. Definitely off the beaten path, but absolutely worth the effort to find. On my first visit, I had the Swiss and Ham sandwich and was immediately impressed. The second time around, I went for the French Dip and was completely blown away — tender, flavorful, and perfectly executed.
What really sets both sandwiches apart is the baguette. Seriously one of the best I’ve ever had. Lightly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy inside — the kind of bread that makes a sandwich unforgettable.
If you’re anywhere near this part of Salt Lake, Knickerbocker’s Deli is a must-try. Don’t let the office-building location fool you. This place is doing sandwiches on a whole different level.

Knickerbockers is fine for a quick bite, but the real standout is their half sandwich, half salad combo. The portions are big enough that you can save one for lunch the next day, which makes it a good value.
It can get really busy, so going earlier or later is your best bet. Their coffee isn’t great, and the soda machine isn’t much better. So worth it for the salad/sandwich combo, but not much else.
Also if you’re sitting outside there’s a highway right there so it’s super loud, bring headphones if you’re going solo.

This little spot is nestled in an Omni medical building, which could either mean it’s pretty run of the mill food OR a hidden gem.
Thankfully, it was the latter! The El Cubano is my new favorite sandwich – the meat was so juicy and tender. Not sure what sorcery was used to make the bread crunchy and soft at the same time, but I don’t care – it was delicious.
The Greek salad is… salad. Idk what to say about it. I’m not gonna lie and say I love salad. But it was fresh & crisp, the dressing was tangy and it was overall satisfying. I guess that’s all I can ask for on that front.
Now, the COOKIE — we love a post-salad cookie and this one was perfect. Not huge, not obnoxiously sweet. And again with the crunchy/soft combo!
Maybe I just suck at cooking, idk.
Also, the people inside seemed like they’d be fun friends, but I didn’t want to make it weird. Maybe next time.
Anyway – go here, it’s güd

Loved it!! The sandwiches are huge! And so good. The chipotle aioli is awesome. The fries are so tasty!!! Best fries we’ve had in awhile outside of Red Robin! Even the frites in Amsterdam can’t compare!! The deli is in the back of the first floor of an office building but it’s super clean, the whole building is clean. You have to walk through it to get to the bathrooms which are, you guessed it! CLEAN!! lol They have a great patio. A parking garage. Traffic isn’t too noisy. There’s a fence of very healthy wisteria buffering. We were visiting from Denver for the day and were coming down from an Incredible Race type visit to most of the ski areas in the area and were starving! Knickerbocker’s had great reviews and was about 3 minutes away from where we were! So glad we stopped! You should too!
