The chefs are two brothers who make everything themselves. I had the pleasure of meeting one of them as he served the food himself. There was a bit of a language barrier, many ingredients were unique and I’ve never heard of before in either English nor French. He looked quite happy to be serving their creations.
There were quite a few Asian-inspired dishes, which I loved. Some flavour combinations were indescribable. A very unique experience. As you can see from my pictures, they served many many many many dishes. My favourite was the dessert with passion fruit (they served 6 desserts!!!!)
The Chefs signed cards for us to take home along with some olive oil that they made themselves!
The tempo is very relaxed we had a 19:30 booking and were done at midnight.
But everything was delicious.
We would go back.
That said, be mindful that the entire meal took five hours, which significantly affected the pacing.
Food: 5/5
Beautifully presented dishes with a thoughtful progression of flavors. Many courses carried distinct floral notes, adding elegance and complexity to the experience. The standout dish for us was the lobster—truly unforgettable. From start to finish, each course was balanced, refined, and skillfully executed.
Service: 4/5
The staff was warm, knowledgeable, and professional—exactly what you’d expect at this level. However, the pacing of the meal was a letdown: there was roughly a 30-minute gap between each course, which dulled the anticipation and energy of the experience. It’s unclear whether this was due to a staffing issue or something else.
Atmosphere: 4/5
The space itself is stunning and created a welcoming ambiance. Unfortunately, the presence of fruit flies and mosquitoes disrupted the otherwise pleasant setting.
I want to emphasise that this was a terrific experience and I solely hope my comments help to improve the experience in future.
Many thanks for your work, truly appreciated.
The food was delicious, well presented. Great wine list.
We had amazing time , this was our return after two years!
As much as I really appreciated the effort the chef made (some of them are good enough to get stars), this place seemed to have room for some improvements. Especially, the hospitality and the service was definitely not qualified for Michelin two stars restaurant based on my experiences.
It had taken more than 30 mins to have the next dish in some case since they took the previous dish away and I think it took almost 6 hours to finish the dinner. (They might have had some communication miss during the serve…)
It’s okay to have some proud as a Michelin restaurant, but it was a bit nuisance to see the attitude of the server. It was not only us to think that way, because the other people around me actually said the same. I haven’t felt that way when even I visited several higher-ranked restaurants in Paris or the other cities ever. I felt a bit sorry for a promising and talented restaurant to be evaluated this way.
Last but not least, it might be not the best place for Asian tourists for some reason. If you taste the dishes, you can easily acknowledge the familiar Asian touch. It may be not a kinda restaurant you expect when it comes to French dining. (It’s a matter of getting used to it. Western people may possibly think different way)
The quality of food is definitely top notch! The creativity and the mix of ingredients were surprisingly blended together nicely. The waiter tried his best to explain each courses in English and the level of service made us felt welcomed. As Chinese we noticed hints of Asian flavors being combined with others and it was definitely a nice bonus – it’s very refreshing!
The only downside to us (or we are just not used to this) is that the dinner started at 8pm and lasted until 12:30pm. As much as we love the food, the timing made it difficult to enjoy after quite a bit of long wait in between courses. We thought it would be a nicer experience if the restaurant noticed people looking tired and found a way to improve on timing based on each customers’ needs.
I will only mention the flaws:
1. There was a crab appetizer and my wife had little shells in hers. Mine was fine. We raised that to the waitress and she said that she is sorry and for this level of restaurant I expected some compensation but none was given.
2. Our waitress had a heavy French accent and I didn’t understand half of what she explained about the menu. For some reason she was replaced at some point with another waiter, a man who spoke very quietly. It was strange how the waitress disappeared.
3. We had the exploration menu and the second and last dessert was a disappointing finish. It was constructed of 6 small plates where the first three were bland, the mango mousse was sweet and ok, the toffee candy was extremely sweet and the last candy was bitter but interesting. I think the dessert was good on its own but the food beforehand was so delicious that this dessert didn’t do it justice.
4. As other reviewers had mentioned it took a long time for the food to be served since they wait for all of the tables and serve them at the same time. At the end we were anxious to leave since we were sitting for 4 hours and half now. After we left the chef chased us on the street to say thank you which was sweet but if they have this intention maybe somehow the waiter should have told us so we could wait for him inside.
I definitely expected more compared to the other 2 star restaurant I have been in Paris but we were overall satisfied with the experience.
