LJS has all the nostalgia for me. We happened to be in the area and had to go.. To my shock this location was absolutely packed for Sunday lunch. The food was every bit as delicious as my child self remembered, and the decor hasn’t changed a bit. You do get charged for crumbs now, which is disappointing, but still delicious.

Note: Oct 21, I bought the super platter and I took a bite out of one of the smaller shrimps, and there was not a good taste to it. I’m not not sure what happened, but I spit it out and threw the rest in the garbage.

As all of our local Ohio hometown LJS are closed up except for one that does not have food that compares in any way to those that closed, we happened on this store on our way from Alabama back to Ohio. This location was so very busy, I was astounded at the number of customers when I went inside to order. We got fish and fries, extra hushpuppies. The fish was absolutely amazing, the hushpuppies were just as good! Staff persons were extremely busy. I did see that one register drawer was broken and needs to be fixed (oops!!) but we were very impressed with the food. We are coming back through on Tuesday 10/14/25 and I hope that we are just as impressed! Please do not let us down! If we get good food and service again, this will be our new stopping point on the way to Ohio and back as there is also a Shell gas station across the street! Thanks for the great food and service. See you in two days!!

The Cave City Kentucky Long John Slivers is a good place to stop in for a quick bite to eat. The fish was okay the Chicken was good the slaw and fries were good as well. The service was quick and the staff was friendly as well as professional. The place was clean. I do recommend this location.

The customer service at this location is excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. Ease of ordering was great and staff were quick to take orders. The food was tasty and ready quickly. From the A&W side, the coney had cheese sauce, surprisingly, and it was quite good. The waffle fries were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. And, of course, the root beer was delicious.

We got the 12 piece family meal and it was a lot of food! The sides were huge. Everything tasted good and was nice and hot. The pieces of fish were much larger than I expected. I travel through the area on occasions and would definitely stop here again.

we LOVED the food and had a great lunch while on vaca with our family! we treated ourselves to many menu options which makes it easy for a family with different taste buds!! highly recommended and I ordered the fish and chicken basket and brought the rest back to the hotel to enjoy!!
