We LOVED the band playing rock n roll!!!
9 September, 2024:
Great, SHADED parking! Indoor/outdoor seating, live music, the best margaritas. We have been coming here for 26 years. It has Always been one of our favorites. The food is authentic and the staff cheerful. What more could you ask for?
Service was very good. I ordered fajitas. Portion was very large. Steak was nicely cooked. However the rice was a bit mushy and would have been nice to have more than two tortillas.
Overall good and would come back.
Then comes the food. The menu was typical but rather pricey compared to other mexican restaurants. We decided to savor the enchaladas and tacos. I must say the enchaladas were nearly the best—-if not the BEST —- we have ever had. The tacos were also delightful but not as exceptional as the enchaladas. Unlike the main course, the trimming rice and beans seemed rather dry and tasteless. There was also too much cheese… very thick and just too much.
One area of disappointment was a decline in the service quality toward the end of our meal. Apparently they all went on break at the same time. Everyone needs a break, but maybe stagger them so service is maintained.
Would we go back? Maybe, but probably not. Dropping $60 on mexican food that is partly delicious and partly average is not same thing that we are likely to do again.
