Update 12/19/2025 – Another amazing meal! Tonight for the seco d time this week we had the Walleye and Braised Beef. Both are excellent, and a must try. Upate 11/19/2025 – We enjoyed another great meal tonight. The food here is always amazing!!!Update 10/25/2025 – It has been a while since we have been at the Gilmore Pub. The food today was excellent. The special sandwich on the lunch menu was Pesto Chicken Sandwich on toasted ciabatta bread with marinated and grilled chicken breast with lettuce, tomatoe, mozzarella and fresh house made pesto. It was excellent!!! For our side we had the homemade pork and rice soup, and it was excellent as well. The kids had chicken strips and a cheese burger with a fresh fruit bowl. Update 2/15/2025 – Tonight we enjoyed our first ever 5-Couse Meal. We seen it on during our dinner here on 2/13/2025, but neither of us were up to five courses. Tonight we brought our appetites and they were fully satisfied with an amazing meal. The preparation, presentation and taste were amazing!!! The price was not what you would expect for a 5-couse meal. We are in the Cedar Valley and the price reflected midwest value, while the quality would rival the finest restaurants on either coast. If you haven’t stop in here yet, you must. 1/12/2025 – Today we stopped in for the brunch and I had the Meatlover Omlette. I’m not an egg fan, but this omlette was delicious! My spouse tried a bite and said “Oh my, there is a ton of meat and flavor”. She had her usual the Country Eggs Benedict. She said they were so good. The Sour Dough toast was also very good. I had a Cinnamon Roll and it was okay, I have had ones I liked better. It was big, but was not soft and gooy the way I like my Cinnamon Rolls, and the icing was hard and tasted like a powder sugar icing. PAST REVIEW – Today was our first visit to the Gilmore’s Pub. Let me say we were both blown away with the establishment and the staff. The facility is super clean, staff super friendly and professional. The food was amazing!!! The chef is spot on with the eggs and brunch food. My spouse had the Country Benedict substitute ham for sausage with fresh fruit. I tasted my spouse’s meal and wow, it was good. I had the Meat Lover Omlete. It was the best omlete I have had in probably the last 20 years. Spot on and cooked to perfection. If you have not eaten here you are missing out on a hidden gem in the Cedar Valley!

While being a good restaurant, I don’t consider this a great pub. It’s more like a country club, without the charm or ambiance of a pub. The only reason I gave it four stars, other than that, the staff is wonderful and the food excellent.

Gilmore’s Pub is a classy restaurant with wonderful food and perfect portions. The prime rib was cooked to perfection. The sides tasted absolutely amazing. We were about to get our check when we saw mouthwatering desserts coming to the table next to us that we just had to try! The sangria cheesecake was delicious! I am a huge cheesecake fan and the hint of orange was subtle and commentary with the fresh fruit.
The service was great! The prices are a weren’t too bad, and they were definitely well worth it.

This is a hidden gem of a spot. Nestled inside a retirement home, Gilmore’s Pub is open to all people who would happen by their store. The following is a breakndown of our visit.
We had brunch here at 1130 amm. There was a 15-minute wait time as the regular customers were showing up in droves. The staff called our names, and we were seated in wonderfully comfy chairs. We were given a brunch menu to choose from. While not extensive, it was adequate. Wait time for meal was around 10-15minutes. I got the Monte-cristo sandwich, and it was absolutely fantastic. The portions they serve are more akin to European sizes, but it was enough to fill us up. Brunch was under 30usd for us. Great deal and excellent plated food! We will be back!

Met college friends for dinner. Good menu options, food was well executed and the environment classy and enjoyable. It’s in the middle of a
Retirement community so patrons were all 55 plus for the most part (so were we and that’s ok). So it’s a sedate and sophisticated environment. Nice evening.

We are from out of town, here for a volleyball tournament. We walked up to get seated, a worker walked away from us. A gal hostess came up a few minutes and seated us next to a full table when the entire restaurant seats were open. I asked it we could sit somewhere else so we weren’t on top of the family seated next to us. The hostess rolled her eyes..and said..”let me see.” Besides the other family, we were the only ones in there. She came back a couple minutes and seated us a different table and walked away. We sat there for 10 mins. No one came to our table. There were 8 employees up by the bar just chatting away. We got up and left. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life. Disappointing.

The cheeseburger was excellent!! Five stars for sure. We were seated promptly… But… the service was very slow, never a smile, we had to ask for several things (ketchup, butter, more water, our bill). Wasn’t exactly top notch service by any means.

Been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally got my chance to go today for lunch. The food was fantastic – we ordered the shrimp and asparagus salad, whiskey burger, and hazelnut roasted carrots. All exceptional. It was especially busy for a Thursday afternoon (reservations recommended) but our server, Addy, was an absolute delight and did a great job. Looking forward to recommending this hidden gem to others!

Had an absolutely delicious burger, and our server was very attentive. However, my salad looked okay from the top but was old and gross underneath. I asked for a new one, and the second one also had gross lettuce. Left disappointed, since I wanted to like this place.
