Some of the best Mexican food in San Diego. I have been eating Filibertos for nearly 30 years starting in Phoenix AZ. Their food never dusapoints.. Portions are generous one combo plate feeds two. . I highly recommend you try

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hat tip to the young man cooking in the back alone on Halloween . How he can handle all the orders alone and have them come out looking awesome and delicious is a mystery .I am a chef too
You can sit outsice on the patio and enjoy the air or inside . Inside does have wheelchair seating .
If I ever am in the position to know I am having my last meal what I suggested above is it.

I went around 10:30 AM. Here’s what I noticed.
– The place is quaint. Located near a busy road. The restaurant itself is small but I prefer smaller restaurant anyway. The patio can sit up to 16 people at the most and at max capacity, it’ll be cramp.
– dining area is slow. I was the only person in the dining area. I sat for about an hour with no other dining customer.
– the drive through though is much different. It has a constant customer coming for either pick up or to go orders.
– I got my order pretty fast. Even with constant to go or pick at order at the drive I got my without 10 mins or less, surprisingly enough my food smelled fresh, it tasted similar to other Carna Asada Burrito but this one has a higher quality taste. Its juicy but not soupy.
– there were 2 workers in saw. One deals with forefront customers and the other works interior with cooking etc. But both work together preparing orders. And both are very pleasant.

Straight rip off. $53 for some tomatoes and lettuce . The tacos had damn near zero meat. I get it was a late night, but they were on some “throw somethingtogether and get them out of here” mess. Only positive thing was the lady on the mic/at the window. Never again.

I like mexican food but Filibertos is the WORST of all. You be the judge base on the pictures. No taste, too dry , if you look closely at the texture of the carnitas meat its not fresh at all meat was cook like a week ago! Do NOT eat here its CACA Taco shop. there is taco shop around like El Agave or Las Brasas.

The WORST Cali burrito I’ve ever had! This place used to be soooo good! This one was gross! The meat was burnt & old. You can tell they gave me old meat. There was barely any cheese or sour cream. The fries were disgusting, old too. Salsa’s were not good either!
I told a well known tik toker that this place has the best Cali burritos & he should film a rating here. Anyway I instantly messaged him back letting him know to not rate this place.

1st time trying Filiberto’s and it is amazing! Wish we had it in Michigan! We even had to stop one last time on our way to the airport it was that good! Fast service and fantastic authentic Mexican food! Servings are very generous, more than we could eat!

I asked for no fries in my bacon breakfast burrito. The woman taking my order repeated it back to me, and I still end up with fries. They are under cooked too. I really enjoyed getting my breakfast burritos from here because it was on my way to work. It tastes better without the fries. The fries honestly ruin it. I guess I will have to start going elsewhere.

Ordered 2 breakfast burritos, waiting 20 mins got charged $29 the breakfast burrito had no eggs burn bacon. Used French fries no hash browns do not go to this place
