Run, don’t walk — you won’t regret it! We visited this restaurant on its opening day and it was an absolutely amazing experience! Starting with the warm welcome from all the staff, we felt right at home. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was truly some of the best soul food I’ve had in Columbia! Flounder was seasoned and fried to perfection, and all the sides were delicious. Peach cobbler was so good too! We will certainly be a regular patron!

We were greeted when we came in and Serena our server was super nice and attentive and checked on us often. We ordered flounder, fried chicken and whiting. Food was good too. Especially the flounder.

Food is absolutely amazing! Atmosphere is beautiful. However menu items are always not available. It would be great if they could update via social media as to what is available and when or when they great you at the door let it be known then. That would greatly be appreciated so that customers could plan their visit instead of driving there and the item they want is not available. I did try to call before coming to make sure the items were available but no one answered the phone.

We were super excited to see the line of people waiting to enter this establishment. It only meant one thing, the food had to be awesome! Lee Boy’s did not disappoint. The food was fantastic . The serving sizes were above average, and the staff were amazing! We totally loved the atmosphere here. It felt like a family reunion dinner. We’ll definitely be back….soon!

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for Sunday dinner, wanting to support a local business. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.

The restaurant opened at 5:00 p.m., and my husband arrived shortly after, around 5:10 p.m. As of 6:26 p.m., he still had not received his food. Waiting over an hour and fifteen minutes — especially right after opening — is unacceptable. There did not appear to be any urgency in getting orders out or updating customers on delays.

Additionally, several menu items were already unavailable at opening. My husband attempted to order the oxtails, only to be told they were not available. It is concerning for a restaurant to open without being fully prepared to serve advertised menu items.

The only reason he continued waiting was because payment had already been made. Clear communication, realistic wait-time estimates, and better preparation would have significantly improved this experience.

We truly try to support local businesses, but based on the service and lack of customer care shown during this visit, we are hesitant to return. We sincerely hope the management takes steps to improve efficiency, communication, and overall customer satisfaction moving forward.

I went in today. I must of caught them on a bad day. I’m a down home county girl and I know food. My pork chop was thin and hard. My lima beans and good beans were straight out of the can. My mac & cheese was wet, the collards was okay but kinda spicy. The corn bread was in a cupcake holder and was falling apart. And I paid $24.20 for that.
Staff was awesome but the food is a no go.

OMG!! We try to support African American businesses, but what a disappointment! Don’t waste your time making a trip to Columbia for this place. We went to support on a Sunday afternoon at 5:25 pm (opened at 4 pm for dinner). We asked how long upon arrival & was told 20 minutes, so we ordered our food at the same time we ordered our beverages; then, we waited & waited & waited. Well, over 45 minutes later, we asked the status of our food & the server told us about 15 more minutes, so we were surprised as the items we requested (oxtail Sunday special) were not “cook-to-order” items. That’s when the bombshell dropped, “We are out of oxtails”! What?! You let me sit in your establishment for almost an hour to find out that we couldn’t get the food we ordered. Who does that? I wish them the best, but they have to do better if they plan to remain open.
