Wanted barbecue and read a strong recommendation on yelp.,Big Earl’s Barbecue. Drove to the address, all one could see is signage saying Fireside Lounge. Kept driving around, this is an industrial area, welding, car repair, construction equipment etc. Unable to find anything other than Fireside Lounge did a deeper dig online and discovered that Big Earls is inside. Went inside, still confused, at 3pm the bar is full with regulars, no visible barbecue. Saw a guy standing at the side of the bar and out came Big Earle, takeaway in hand. Spoke to him and was directed to some tables near the pool table where a small 6×6 venue card offered the types of barbecue available. Ordered and got a well above standard barbecue.

Took a group last night, not exactly a typical go to spot for us, WE HAD A BLAST! Strong drinks, fun atmosphere and Big Earls BBQ was a hidden treasure! Everyone was friendly, and engaging. Thank you Fireside!

I’ve worked at bars, been a patron to many and this was the weakest drink I’ve ever had in my life! The bartender was nice, but that doesn’t make your drink proper.
We decided to go elsewhere and have a REAL Gin & tonic.

I took order to go but the bar was very dark and you walk almost into the kitchen to pick up your order. The ribs were fall off the bone but the meat didn’t have enough chew ( very soft) the brisket had very good flavor. I also ordered beans and the were a mix of baked beans and savory chili and didn’t work for me but I did like the cornbread.

My commercial real estate mind says scrape this building, but inner 22 yr old heart hopes this place lives forever. It’s the type of bar you walk in when it’s 108 degrees and sunny then you wake up in the morning like how tf did I get home and what happened. It’s everything that’s awesome about dive bars.

If you’re staying at a “boutique hotel”, don’t bother.

By the fireside. April 11th, 2025 eight years later.. Couchfire is thriving. There’s Tahin dust stuck to the inside of my glass. And I didn’t get a mango cart. It’s a faux pas to ask for a clean glass.
People are loud when the whiskey is flowering.
I’m curious about the doorbell switch mounted left above the beer engine. Does it signal the cook to put his pants back on? Or perhaps a hard-wired signal to the red light bulb in the mayor’s office?

It’s a dive bar in an industrial part of town, a block from the crematorium. But we love it. The staff is great. It seems most of the patrons are regulars, which could lead to an unfriendly atmosphere for newcomers, however everyone is very welcoming and friendly.

This is a laid back local neighborhood bar where everyone seems to know each other. Hard to find since it’s in a industrial area but the beer is cold and the locals are friendly.

Went there for Big Earls BBQ. Classic locals lounge. Bar, TVs, pool table. Outdoor smoking area. Have the Key Lime pie.

Great place where you get to find great friendly people, uneven pool tables, and drinks that are not watered down
