Modestly appointed eatery serving Chinese classics, plus other Asian items like pad Thai & udon.

Wanted an authentic Chinese food and this place was quite good. Started with dumplings with hot oil – good garlicky flavor. Then, West Lake beef soup – the bowl was huge; this was okay, I’ve had better.
Then BF had the beef with broccoli, he enjoyed it and I loved the twice-cooked pork; it’s the first time I tried it and I loved it, thin slices of pork belly with lots of scallions, it was full of flavor. Then the bok choy with shiitake mushrooms, it was bland.
Overall, it was a good choice and the prices were reasonable. Service was attentive. We came in around 2:30 and it was nice and quiet.

The food here was amazing! We came here for Thanksgiving and every dish was really good, we got crispy La Zi chicken, spicy mung bean jelly, beef tripe with chili sauce, orange beef, and Ma la dried fried whole fish. Our favorite were La Zi chicken and the Ma la fish.

Absolutely the best Chinese restaurant in town.
You can truly feel the owner’s passion and care in every detail. The rich heritage of Chinese culinary culture is thoughtfully woven into each dish — not just in flavor, but in presentation and spirit.
Every plate is authentic, beautifully balanced, and incredibly delicious. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors are genuine, and nothing feels rushed or commercialized.
This is more than just a meal — it’s a cultural experience. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to taste real, traditional Chinese cuisine made with heart.

This is a great restaurant that has New England style Chinese food and it has many authentic Sezchuan dishes. It has a small bar and a fairly large dining room. It was very clean. The staff were very friendly. What really shocked me was some of the prices. Soups for under $3, Shrimp Dumplings for under $6 and Soup Dumplings for under $7. Everything was amazing. Hot and Sour Soup is delicious with complex flavors and plenty of heat. I love their Soup Dumplings!! Small enough to be a one bite. This way you don’t lose the delicious soup inside. If you like good Chinese food, this is it.

We got the scallion pancakes, crab rangoons, west lake beef soup, general Tao’s chicken, dry-fried shredded beef, crispy sweet & sour fish fillet, Golden silver egg pea pod leaves, vegetarian Ma Po tofu, vegetable fried rice. It was truly the best Chinese food I’ve had in the Boston area. The dry-fried shredded beef and golden silver pea pod leaves were my favorite. The general tso’s chicken was the most scrumptious I’ve had to this date. We also ordered egg custard buns and pumpkin sesame rice balls for dessert and they were a spectacular finish to our meal! Highly recommend for authentic chinese food with welcoming ambience!

Our office ordered to celebrate the Lunar New Year and ordering for large group can be difficult with everyone wanting different things and it’s easy for things to get missed. Sichuan Palace made the ordering and delivery process easy and everything was perfect! Great food and nothing missed! Great Job and Happy New Year ( this is a place we will definitely order from in the future)* Nakia loves the Kung Pao Chicken!

If you are looking for Sichuan food, then this is the place for you. They have a huge menu that makes going back exiciting for those who like to try new things. But for those who stick with their favorite dish, I am sure you will be happy because they master the food across the board. They have dishes that have no spice, dishes that are super spicy, and dishes in between. The meat was rendered and tender. The tangerine beef was crispy even though it was completely covered in the delicious sauce. The spring rolls even have mushroom bits in them. What a luxury. The staff are professional and nice. You can tell they have a good familial relationship and it is welcoming. The restaurant is clean. I have no idea how they manage to have white tablecloths when I saw that a couple red/orange drops from my soup landed on it. I will definitely be going back.
Edited June 2025. This place is still going strong and added more dishes to their menu. Try it out!

Prepare to be pleasantly surprised by Sichuan Palace, a restaurant that truly delivers an extraordinary culinary experience. You’ll find an extensive menu of authentic dishes, each bursting with distinctive flavors and beautifully presented. As a vegetarian I was thrilled by the wide range of options available, like the tangy sour lotus and the la-zi tofu served in a traditional basket – a cool twist on your usual tofu dish. To top it off, the sesame balls for dessert are an absolute must-try – exceptional flavors in every bite. Inform the waiter about your preferred spice level, it gets hot! Whether you’re a foodie looking for a culinary adventure or simply want to enjoy delicious food with generous portions at a reasonable price, Sichuan Palace is a hidden gem.
And yes – they have several items on the menu that kids would love.

In Brief: Very tasty, hits the spot when I’m craving authentic food!
In Long:
I’ve been 2 times now, and also ordered delivery via ubereats once on thanksgiving. Haven’t been disappointed yet.
Food is fast, hot, and flavorful.
I like how the dishes are served in a ‘shareable’ style.
When you order a dish, that thing is big, and I hope you come with some friends and enjoy the feeling of eating together (or fighting over tasty food together!)
Don’t forget to order rice (that big plate was just 4 bucks!), because no meal is complete without it.
I also recommend asking for hot tea. I’m pretty sure they serve you Jasmine tea when you ask for tea, which is really nice to wash down any spicyness or greasiness throughout the meal.
Whenever I end up in the area, I try to stop by so one day I can say I’ve tried every dish. So far I’ve tried and enjoyed: salt and pepper spare ribs, double cooked pork, jumbo shrimp, cumin lamb(you gotta try this at least once), tangerine crispy beef, and I enjoyed some duck dishes on thanksgiving.
We usually can’t finish everything and they pack it up for you very neatly. Next time I might order extra rice just to take home lol.
Hopefully i can add on to this giant word wall as I go more often. I recommend taking a chance and stopping by with friends if you’re willing to try new things ^^
