I went here with a friend for dinner for restaurant week in the beginning of February!

Food: 5/5. It was SO absolutely divine and delicious. The flavors and food were unlike any I’ve tried before. The meat was so tender and soft. Every single one of the dishes was unique and left an amazing impression. I loved everything we had.

Service: 4/5. Our waiter was sweet and friendly. The only thing I have to say is that the service felt rushed, despite there being a good amount of empty tables when we went on a Monday night. The dessert came out just 15-20 minutes into our main entree and the check shortly after, despite us not asking for it yet. Thankfully the desserts weren’t meant to be had warm otherwise they would’ve been cold by the time we had them. But overall, it was still very good!

Atmosphere: 5/5 I loved it. The interior was so aesthetic, with the first floor having more of a moody, darkly lit bar vibe and the second floor semi-brighter with lots of plants and colorful paintings. The interior was absolutely gorgeous, and definitely one of the best in Philly.

Highly recommend checking this spot out for a date night and/or nice dinner night out.

Overall: Great experience, very cool cuban/latin ambiance, excellent food!

Not sure how this place is not 4.9* – it surely feels and tastes like it! Not surprised one bit this was already a James Beard nominee within its first 3 years of existence.

One of the best places we’ve been to this year.

Unbelievable atmosphere.
Food is absolutely killer – not sure there is anything that is not mind blowing good on the menu
Drinks were bang on.

AND they accommodated all allergies like it was nothing.

Tostones are not your usual tostones. More like garlic bread but way better (with a little zing), pinchos de panza melts in your mouth, short rib oh-so-good, etc. all accompanying sauces were delicious. we ordered so much food. Left full and happy.

This restaurant has so much personality! My server and the owner were so kind and funny. It was great to be as a restaurant with such amazing food and service that makes you feel like you’re with friends. The live music was so fun and made the evening fly by!

Upscale Puerto Rican cuisine made with care and high level presentation. We made reservations. Romantic atmosphere. Suckling pig option was delicious and had lots of side dishes, but I’m not convinced it was worth the price tag of $65. The bread and cheese option from the appetizer list was excellent: desserts are worth sharing too. Our server was friendly and attentive. Overall on the pricey side, but it’s a great experience.

We loved our experience here. My absolute favorite was the flan with papaya. I really enjoyed the red snapper as well. The drinks and meals were so flavorful. While on the pricey side, for $55/person the prix fixe included 3 courses. The atmosphere and service were both great

I literally cannot say enough good things about this place! My friend and I came here and sat at the bar for dinner and it was one of the best last minute dinner experiences I’ve had in such a long time!

First of all, our bartender/server, Perkins, was so accommodating and gave us some incredible recommendations for food and drinks. We loved everything he suggested. The service was phenomenal, the entire team here is incredible and so friendly and welcoming.

The habichuelas were spectacular, and we also ordered the ceviche sampler with the salmon, snapper, and shrimp. The snapper was the star of the show for sure, I would come back just for that. I highly recommend the Pin Pin and Rumba Rosa for cocktails. I will 10000% be back because I want to try everything on the menu now. And honestly, I would also choose to sit at the bar again because it was such a fun and enjoyable experience.

This place is awesome for happy hour—great atmosphere and a super welcoming vibe. The food was impressive, especially the Tuna Con Coco, the Lam Pastelillos, and those killer ceviche shooters. Big thanks to Chef Yun Fuentes and the whole crew for being so friendly and making it such a great experience!

Visited Bolo for my anniversary dinner last night. The food? 10/10. The service? Easily like 6/10. Our server probably visited our table a total of 4 times during our 2 hours stay. Our server was at the bar entertaining other guests a good 75% of the time that we were there. He even took a shot with said guests while we were waiting for our food. There were only about 8 other guests in the restaurant, so I wasn’t too sure why it took so long for our chicken to come out? Another employee came over and gave us Fufu on the house to makeup for the wait, which was fine, I just had trouble understanding how we waited so long for our food for there to only be 8 people in the restaurant.

Wonderful addition to Philadelphia. The servers were knowledgeable and extremely hospitable. Beyond Bolos homage to carribbean and latin (fusion) cuisine, Bolo has a breadth of Rums which I suggest you try …starting off with a Dark rum (not spiced) Daiquiri (not frozen, but fresh lemon juice). OFTD rum is superb. If you can try the suckling pig, please do + pork belly. There’s an array of ceviches too that span spicy tuna to snapper that are wonderful. Excellent job!

Bolo is a beautiful space with lovely staff and absolutely delicious food. It is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. The food is really beautiful and yummy. The ceviches are extraordinary. The skewers are delightful. Try the fried chicken. it’s so crispy. In fact, huge shout out to the person running the fryer. Anything that person touched was magic. How do you sauce a fried yuca and still have them crispy???
