This review is only for the food – that being said, it was some of the worst sushi I’ve had. Mostly tasteless low-quality fish. I tried to order the omakase sushi which I saw in some of the reviews but that wasn’t a thing on the menu anymore. I settled for the sashimi dinner and deluxe sushi dinner and 2 pcs of kanpachi. All the fish pretty much tasted bland no matter how much soy sauce you added. I paid over $100 dollars for this meal.. don’t bother with the sushi here.

There was only 1 other table of 2 sitting in the restaurant – granted it was late in the evening… the table legs were oddly star shaped and made be bang my knee against it. I moved to another table and the new one had the tabletop that would seesaw an inch off the other side when you leaned on your side. Please fix your tables or get new ones…

If you’re a local who lives close by and don’t know what to do, you have to come check this place out—you’ll definitely enjoy it! The poke salad is the real star here. It’s incredibly fresh and a perfect meal for a warm day. Plus, the atmosphere is great for just hanging out and relaxing with a drink.

Our friends suggested meeting up at The Thirsty Hop, and though a hop shop with sushi seemed like a strange mix, it turned out to be a great combination! As you walk in, the cozy vibe is immediately inviting, especially on a cold, rainy day with an inviting fireplace to sit next to. They even have games to play! The beer selection was decent with plenty of choices, and the sushi was surprisingly delicious! We ordered quite a bit, with the Hawaiian tuna being a standout favorite—we liked it so much, we ordered it twice. We also tried a variety of other dishes, including wings, gyoza, and rolls, and everything was excellent. The staff were friendly and had a great sense of humor, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. As we left, the place was getting busy. We wish them the best of luck and hope they continue to stay busy!

This place is a hidden gem in the Kirkland area. I had passed by it several times and thought it was just a casual bar for grabbing a beer, but after actually visiting, I was blown away by the quality of the food. From the appetizers to the sushi, every menu item was excellent. They also offer more than 15 different kinds of beer, so my friends and I had a great time there

Simply the best sushi place I’ve ever been to. I’ve been here 4 times in the last month, and it’s been an incredible experience ever single time. Staff is friendly, the chef is quick, and the menu is unique filled with creative rolls that you just won’t find in other places. With a rotating beer tap that has something new every time, this place will continue to be #1 and keep us coming back.

Thirsty Hop was a fun dinner. I appreciated the interesting mix of craft beer and sushi. The space inside was a combination of sushi restaurant and bar – super cool. Food overall was nice, and service was great.

I thought I was just getting a beer. Nope. Amazing sushi, saki bottles, and some cocktails. Definitely worth checking out.

This sushi joint was nice and cozy, a bit small.
Good for solo dinning. Set up is like a coffee shop.
Good quality fish, but seems like they are working out kinks like a new place. Accidentally gave us a roll we didn’t order. Also they forgot about our edamame, we asked at the end to have that removed from our bill!
Parts of the roll were falling apart, weren’t rolled tight enough.
Service was great!! Staff were sweet and were able to problem solve.

I wasn’t a fan of how quiet the place was. Not a place for big groups, it was even weird talking with. Husband there because of how quiet it was.

Ordered:
Triple spicy
Spinner roll jumbo
El ferno
Miso soup
Seaweed salad
