And oh Lord, the portion of it was double the size of my face. I’m going to include the dishes that make me so happy to eat here. I’m only posting because the chef seems like he pours his heart into making the dishes, and the interior and exterior of the restaurant make people make “wrong assumptions” about this place. I want them to keep open; please don’t close this restaurant ever.
Papaya Salad was decent 3 out 5 I won’t get it again.
Green Curry 5/5 finally a place that understands how Thai curry is made. Jesus Christ 95% of these fake Thai restaurants in Florida don’t know how to make curry.
This is what curry should be!! As a matter of fact I just scrolled up and changed my rating from 4 to 5 based on that one taste of the curry. Thank you Haos I will definitely be back. Jesus H Christ finally a good Thai Restaurant. Thank you.
While there, we learned that the restaurant has new ownership/management and so this review is based on the most recent experience. I am logging 3 stars… but it is probably closer to 3 1/2 stars.
I ordered the chicken green curry and the overall flavor was pretty decent… but some of the ingredients weren’t very fresh. The red peppers had those ‘wrinkly’ spots on them that they get as they begin to decay and there were brown ‘spots’ on a coupe of the sliced carrots.
My wife ordered the ‘Ba Mee Moo Dang’, which is a noodle based soup with roasted BBQ pork. It was supposed to include cilantro but there was no trace of it. I tried a taste of my wife’s soup and was not impressed.
I will say that the service was good and friendly and that we received generous portions, so no complaints there. We ended up taking most of my wife’s soup home but decided to just throw it out.
Also, our food came out super quick (maybe 5 minutes), and while that is appreciated, I always wonder how something can be cooked and plated that quickly. My impression was that the food was not freshly cooked.. but maybe reheated. 3 1/2 stars.
