Had a friend pick up take out for some of the brunch menu and some normal menu items. The brisket was some of the driest brisket i’ve ever had with little to no flavor. All I could taste on the ribs was the seasoning on top, they were also very dry and very tough.
Brisket gravy was again pretty flavorless and a weird texture.
Pancakes tasted like they were out of the box.
Cornbread was just fine, pretty basic
Pickles were good though.

I live in Houston and also travel to Austin frequently-so I eat great BBQ all the time! I ordered the Thanksgiving catering special from “I Smell Bacon BBQ” and Im glad I did… I can honestly say ALL our BBQ meats had a great smokey flavor and was so tender!!
Everything was delicious! The turkey was smokey and had some amazing glaze/juice on it. The brisket was tender, juicy and well seasoned. The mac n cheese was moist and hit the spot. The ham was sweet and smokey.
I love supporting small businesses that do it right. Thank you!!!
Only recommendation are these two things: 1) Offer BBQ sauce (I would’ve bought it, but it could also be added to large orders). 2) I followed the reheating instructions, but then increasing to 250 for about 30mins which took it from luke warm to a reasonable temperature to serve.

The name is catchy and for those who like bacon you will like the selection here. As soon as you walk in you will see the chairs and tables. Go towards the right to get to the cashier. The menu is big and for those who can’t see that far they will hand you a menu or be happy to answer any questions. The food was outstanding, they have a few sauces to choose from. I wanted a spicy kick and they don’t have it on display. When you are done ordering they will give you an approximate time. They have a couple slot machines if you are into that. Bathroom are in the back and they are clean. Payment will be in the form or credit card or cash. Overall the food was delicious. I really enjoy the beans.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy a hearty meal with friends or family. Every dish I tried was packed with flavor and showcased the care put into the recipes. I had the Trio Sampler, which was pulled pork, smoked brisket and pulled chicken. It came with creamy coleslaw, cornbread, and fried potato salad. The fried potato salad is deep fried rosemary potatoes, tossed with a spicy cream sauce with onions and bacon. First of all, that fried potato salad was amazing. I never had a potato salad in my life so delicious! That cream sauce, onions, bacon and fried potatoes, what a combination—a little spicy but I loved it! The pulled chicken was tender and very tasty. The pulled pork was perfect in every way. The smoked brisket had those nice smoke rings with a wonderful flavor. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates classic barbecue done right!

Y’all this place is amazing! The customer service is gold star! The food is delicious. If you go, which I recommend you do! You have to get the fried potato salad OMG it’s sent from heaven! So far we have tried the brisket, pulled pork, smoked chicken, and the ribs you can’t go wrong with any of them. I prefer the honey habanero sauce it has an awesome kick. Just go, that’s all I’m saying!

UPDATE: Came back here a few days ago, got candied bacon, brisket mac, and 2 cornbread. Holy hell, i wish i can give this place 10 stars. Generous amount of brisket, the candied bacon was amazing and the cornbread of soft and (sorry in advance) moist. I love this place!!!
To all the people saying “there is no taste to the mac and cheese” or “its too dry”, then obviously you have no taste. This was amazing for $13 with tax. Brisket was juicy, mac and cheese tasted quality. I had to make a stop so i didn’t get to eat it until an hour after i picked it up, and it was still warm. Name me another place you can get this much brisket mac n cheese for $13. You can’t.

We had a Restaurant.com certificate so we stopped in on a Sunday after 4pm. Located in a strip center off Route 59 and Higgins,this place has a very casual setting with fantastic BBQ
We were seated immediately as they were not crowded. They offer a nice selection of appetizers,sandwiches and BBQ platters. Portions are huge and prices are reasonable.
I had the Big Texas Sampler which had a smoked chicken egg roll, jalapeno poppers that were stuffed with a delicious creme cheese blend,smoked wings and cowboy fries that were covered in cheese sauce and bacon. Everything was delicious.
My wife had the 2 meat combo platter with pulled pork and chicken,cornbread and Cilantro potatoe salad. They make all of their sauces which are gluten free but I wish they were served in squirt bottles and not individual plastic cups.
Everything was delicious and we took half of it home.
Our server Cristina was super nice but it seemed they had too many servers which is normally not the case anymore. It felt like we were being watched since it was not busy. The atmosphere is just ok but the BBQ is the hit of the show!
This is a family run business offering great food and great prices.. definitely will be back!

I would give this place 10 stars if possible. This was our first visit. Walked in the atmosphere was great the wait staff amazing friendly. The food from start to finish was amazing right down to the cornbread. The appetizer menu is awesome we ordered the pulled pork balls, jalapeño poppers home made not deep fried. Then the brisket egg rolls. Presentation was awesome to see in a BBQ restaurant. Then the main course the 3 meat platter all 3 meats were amazing without any sauce cant wait to try with sauce, all of them are homemade. The fried potato salad is out of this world crazy good. Also had the beans and everyones favorite Mac and Cheese.

Only issue or drawback was the I ordered the Brisquit platter at full price, and the amount of Brisquit was surprisingly scant and light. Also the side of pickled onions was like a shot glass size. For the prices I hoped for larger portions.

8/2025 4* Cristina was very helpful and explained some things to me. The one thing I did not understand is how I got my food, to go, in under 5 minutes when I ordered a full slab of ribs. This was confusing to me. Until I opened it up. Ribs are tender, and meaty. Loved that. What I did not know is that you have to pour your own BBQ sauce on it. They were not cooked with your choice of BBQ sauce. Ugh. That was disappointing. They tasted good, I enjoyed the 2 sauces I chose. But I could have had twice the amount of sauce and it would not have covered the ribs, which is how I like them. All in all. They were good. But I was still a bit disappointed.
