Great little restaurant in downtown Fernandina.
Parking situtaion is standard for downtown; hit or a miss. The restaurant is fantastic, service was very good. Esp for dinner rush and limited staff. Tuna tataki appetizer arrived quickly and had great flavor. Food tasted very fresh. Sushi roll selection is good and some unique house rolls available. Restaurant was clean. Price was fair for the quality. Recommended!

Very fresh sushi rolls, was pleasantly surprised. Wish they had more uncooked roll options, but overall their menu definitely has a little something for everyone. Place was quiet with only a few tables. Server was nice but a little slow.

Would be 5 stars…but they close at 3pm, then open back up at 4:30. Why? There were 12 people in the restaurant and they kindly rushed folks to finish. They turned 4 others away, missed $$ but not my issue. We will be back despite the weird hours, just be mindful of the hours before you go.

Three of us rolled up on a very busy night and opted to sit outside so we could be seated right away. Despite the crowds, our waitress was on top of things. Food came out quickly (and was delicious) and we were on our way in under an hour. I really liked the kimchi BBQ steak I had, and my dining companions gave thumbs up to the orange chicken and avocado sushi.

We absolutely adore Akari! It’s a delightful gem on the island! We’ve been enjoying meals here for years, and everything is fantastic, but here are our top picks: the Yellow Jalapeño appetizer, the refreshing and delicious Green Turtle roll, and the Hawaiian Classic Poke Bowl with Salmon (simply divine!). For lunch, we indulge in sushi and then order the Thai Basil with chicken to take home for dinner! Great service in a relaxing environment. Give it a try – you’re sure to fall in love with it!

The restaurant is charming and cozy. There are indoor and outdoor seating. It is immaculate, and the service is exceptional. The waitress was very tentative, and she came by to check on us 2x during our lunch to make sure we got everything we needed.
The food is delicious. One of the best Japanese restaurant on the island. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Sushi restaurant on the corner of the historic area. I love how the house is painted in baby blue with baby pink and white trim. Great sushi rolls and pile bowls. Lots of other options as well. We enjoyed coming here for lunch on a cold day. Warm inside but in the spring/summer you can also enjoy sitting outside.
