Delightful venue, with very attentive and friendly staff the restaurant is pretty with a lovely atmosphere. The food is delicious and offers different alternatives as well as duck and the wine list is expansive. The restaurant is a little way out of town but perfectly accessible by tram which meant that on a Monday night, we got a last minute reservation for an excellent meal.

I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience with an amazing ambiance, mouthwatering food, and impeccable service, this is the place to be. Our evening here made my sister’s birthday truly memorable, and we’ll definitely be returning for more culinary delights.”

The restaurant was reserved for a luncheon of 60. From planning, arranging decor, and accommodating changes, the restaurant was superb. The starter, main, and desert were refined and exquisite. The service was prompt and gracious. At every level, the professionalism was smooth. The memory lingers warmly and I look forward to recreating another occasion! Bravo!

We had a wonderful lunch here. We ate on a covered terrace, during a very light rain. The “menu,” entree, main course and dessert, was reasonably priced and every dish was delicious. We were traveling in Bordeaux. I wish I could eat here every week.

Exquisite food. I have been eating regularly for a couple of years now at this restaurant. And every time I eat there I am reminded of how delicious everything is. It is rare to find a restaurant that is consistently creative and delicious. The owners and their staff are friendly and welcoming. Best food in Bordeaux in my opinion. The menu fix is always reasonably priced and great value and their à la carte is pricier but worth every penny. I bring all my guests here and we are well travelled foodies and have to say this chef is world class.

We were heading to the botanic gardens hoping to find an interesting spot lunch spot on the way. We weren’t having much luck until we stumbled upon L’Avenue Carnot, a real gem. Warm and welcoming, a lovely setting (we sat in the enclosed airy patio) with delicious home-made food.

The service was borderline unacceptable…waitress quickly forgot about us and could not recognize the plates (“fish, I think?”). However, that’s not the issue: despite asking for tap water, we got a bottle of plain water that we paid 6 EUROS for (!!!) + a couple of glasses of very mediocre wine for 18 euros. Plates were good (especially the veau with coulis de crustacés), but definitely not worth 35-40 euros/each. I don’t think I’ll ever go back…
P.s. terrace is very nice but full of mosquitoes

Excellent service, good food on the whole (although my dessert – Charlotte – was not very good). Nice ambiance. I loved the small helpings, and will be returning.
