My husband and I used to come to Witt’s often, but decided to take a break. Tonight we came back and were not impressed. When we walked in the girl at the register was scrolling on her phone. She did not greet us or have a smile on her face. I ordered the brownie blitz and asked to add chopped nuts. She then asked me if I still wanted hot fudge since it came with it. I was confused by her question and just said yes. My husband also reiterated what I said about the chopped nuts in case she misunderstood me. When she was making it she added hot fudge then chocolate syrup on top (I don’t know how you mess up the words chopped nuts with chocolate syrup). She had an AirPod in her ear which could be the reason but I repeated myself a few times. The whipped cream also came out funny (not her fault) so she scraped off what came out but added the smallest bit of hot fudge back (half a pump). Mind you she scraped off all the hot fudge from it. I didn’t get chopped nuts in the end, but at that point I was disappointed by the whole interaction and wanted to leave. I also do not know if they changed their brownies, but they do not taste like they used to. I typically do not write reviews, but after looking at others there clearly needs to be some retraining on customer service.

Walked in after dinner and a young girl was mopping the floor (2+ hrs before close mind you). She looked at me and looked back at her mop and said not a word. She then walks over and stands in front of the register staring at me. Awkwardly, I just start ordering since she still hasn’t said anything. I asked for a banana split and she said “we don’t have strawberries”. Probably the worst service I have ever received at Whits. I’ll continue to the one in Independence.

I got hooked on the Whit’s Chocolate Buckeye Madness from living close to the Whit’s, in Independence, KY. In recent months it has been practical to stop at the Highland Heights store about three times so far. With each visit, I always have had a good customer experience.

We absolutely LOVE Whit’s, like will drive 30 minutes to get it, but this location is awful. Never open when their hours say they will be. When staffed, it’s hit or miss if the person knows what they’re doing (to be fair it’s typically someone covering both this and Donato’s counters). There are locations that are in Lebanon and Trenton that are way better.

One star is not fair. Went there tonight, June 4, 2025, wanted to buy an ALREADY MADE ice cream sandwich in their little cooler. Noone there to sell it, so i asked the connected Donatos to help me, “we cant”. It was 630pm on a wednesday in the summer!! What a JOKE. a new ice cream place is opening near Kroger by Great Clips on Martha Layne Dr. Go there, they WANT your money and business.

We were so looking forward to trying Whit’s. Arrived at 4 pm on a Sunday. The listing stated they were open. Apparently, they don’t serve until 5. We could only get items from the freezer cases. We bought some filled cookies just for something. They were hard to eat as the custard was only in the very center. The custard tasted like freezer burnt soft serve. The cookie was good. The gal working was very nice.

I’ve been here multiple times, including tonight, and they don’t have milk. How does an ice cream shop repeatedly not have milk? They told me to go next door to five guys if I wanted a milkshake WHAT? Left without buying anything and won’t be returning. This has happened too many times.

Horrible service. I walked in and asked for a milkshake. The server went to the back to see if they had milk. Told me they didn’t. And that if I wanted a milkshake I should go to five guys next door. Didn’t even try to offer me anything else. Or even apologize for the lack there of. Wouldn’t recommend

After visiting the Lebanon location on Mother’s Day we were happy to find a location that wouldn’t be out of the way for us. Unfortunately, the experience was not the same as Lebanon. For starters, there was no old-timey feel as it was sharing a location with Donato’s Pizza and had zero character. Secondly, the only place we could sit outside was in front of another restaurant a couple suites up. Biggest of all, I don’t know if it was because of our selections or something else but the custard was not good at all. Perhaps if the custard was good we would have gotten over the other things, but it wasn’t. I’m leery about stopping by again.

This store is shared with Donatos and they also apparently share the same lone worker. Walked in and there was a couple waiting to buy ice cream in front of us. Waited about 10 minutes and they gave up. The one worker was too busy arguing with a customer on the Donatos side to where he couldn’t serve us. We waited maybe 5 more minutes and him and the customer were still arguing so we left too. We’ve had Whits before and it’s great. I would highly recommend it… just not at this location.
