The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring you feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout your meal. The food itself is outstanding; every ingredient is fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection right at your table. If you’re visiting, make sure to order their signature broth—it elevates the entire hotpot experience and is absolutely worth trying.
While the price per person may seem premium at first glance, the value is undeniable. The portion sizes are generous, the quality is high, and you truly get your money’s worth.
Overall, I loved everything about this place and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for anyone craving an amazing hotpot experience!
As for the service, the staff were attentive and thoughtful, which left us with a positive impression.
Now, onto the food. While I do appreciate the freshness of the ingredients, at this price point, I expected a more extensive selection. Honestly, for $49.99 per person at lunch, if the food isn’t going to be more refined, then at least it should offer greater variety. On top of that, the additional 3% fee for credit card payments was quite surprising and felt unnecessary.
Overall, this dining experience wasn’t bad, but based on my impression, I don’t see myself returning unless either more food variety is offered or the lunch price is lowered.
This is just my personal opinion, for reference only.
Plenty of parking outside. We didn’t make a reservation but we came around 5:30pm on a Saturday and were able to be seated right away. They are very kids-friendly and provided children’s utensils and scissors (very considerate). There are plenty of broth options. These are individual hot pot so it was nice to see they had the option to have two types (not common at all with individual pots). They also provided aprons too!
Our server was so friendly and continuously came to check up on us – other servers did as well.
All in, a fantastic experience and would come again!
*note: a lot of options and desserts are halal
Staff: The staff were friendly and introduced the place to my family, since it was our first time there.
Ambience: Love the green and wood combination. Upon stepping in, the Market Table caught our eyes with the bright lights and beautiful display.
Food:
– There were 6 different broths to choose from, and they had pre-selected the two-broth combos. I had the pork broth and tomato broth, which both were flavorful. Hotpot was meant to be communal, but the individual hotpot allowed individuals to get what they really wanted without compromising. The meat selections were ok, but I expected more since the restaurant marketed itself as ‘Premium’. However, they had *abalone*, mussels, scallops, 3 different kinds of fish, big prawns, and more. All the ingredients were fresh, and loved the thinly but big sliced meat for shorter cooking time.
– They had dessert and fruits array at the back. The confusing part here was, with the jellies, gummies, and syrups that they had, they did not have shaved ice. I asked for a cup of shaved ice from the staff, and my kids did their own versions of dessert. The restaurant also served soft serve cone which only came in vanilla flavor.
– The cooked food area had dim sum like shu mai, har gow, buns, regular egg tarts, blueberry egg tarts, rice, and noodles. The steamers must not been warm enough, as the bottom layers of the buns were hard. The har gow filling had no prawn inside, but a small lump of paste-like. The egg tarts weren’t too bad. The molten lava bun was my favorite. The brown sugar dough was good too.
This AYCE hotpot place is the most accommodating restaurant I have ever been to. They have vegan and gluten-free options. There are halal options too. One kid eats for free with every one paying adult.
Note: There is a 3% fee if you pay via credit card. They do prefer cash or debit. The restaurant opens till 1am on Friday and Saturday. Diners pay $29.99 after 11pm on those days.
The variety is amazing, with so many high-quality options to choose from, allowing you to customize every pot exactly the way you want. Each bite is rich, balanced, and deeply satisfying. And a huge bonus for me: everything is Halal, which already puts Chocho Hot Pot at the top of my list.
As if the hot pot wasn’t enough, they also serve sushi, and I was genuinely surprised by how good it is. This is easily some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, especially for a place that also specializes in hot pot. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.
The atmosphere is warm, modern, and welcoming, making it perfect for family dinners or going out with friends. On top of that, the staff is friendly, attentive, and professional, which makes the entire experience even better.
I truly love this place and highly recommend Chocho Hot Pot Katy to anyone who appreciates great food, excellent service, and a memorable dining experience. Once you try it, you’ll definitely want to come back again and again.
The overall service was slow and inattentive, which made the dining experience frustrating. I expected much better service for this type of restaurant.
The service was excellent — we had several staff members checking in on us throughout our entire dining experience.
I especially appreciate that kids eat free with a paying adult — it’s perfect since ours don’t usually eat much, but they absolutely loved the popping boba and the overall experience. We’re already planning to come back, and next time I’ll be sure to take better photos!
