While checking out spots for Alameda Restaurant Week, I spent some time at The Park Street Tavern documenting their specialties. The presentation of their dishes impressed me instantly. They’ve got this newly renovated space with European vibes and a glowing Italian marble bar that creates a genuinely romantic atmosphere. The flattering lighting makes it perfect for dates, and their cozy fireplace adds great winter vibes. It’s a friendly bar offering a lot of creative, chef-driven dishes – small plates that pack remarkable flavor. Everything tastes notably fresh, especially their seafood and pasta dish that really popped in my mouth with surprising, bright flavors.

The food was just okay. Some dishes were overly salty. Given the high reviews, I had higher expectations, but it didn’t quite meet them.

The barman was fantastic and made the best drinks. And speaking of which, I have never seen a cooler bar! Great selection of drinks and the happy hour food… not the usual deep fried slop. This was good quality, fresh and delicious, well made food.

The main meal was amazing! The stroganoff pasta was so flavorful and the beef just fell apart with the edge of my fork. The home-made fettuccine was yummy. The salmon with spinach risotto was fresh and excellently cooked and I very much enjoyed the Peruvian peppers.

The service was impeccable. I was impressed with the ambiance and design of the restaurant too; very comfortable and cozy. I loved the fresh rose on each table.

Overall, I was extremely impressed with Park Street Tavern. The food is fabulous and the drinks are the best made on this island. I would recommend this spot hands down. It’s a gem!

I’m writing this because I think management would want to know. Our waiter was openly rude and inattentive—barely checked on our table and was short with other guests too. I asked if there was any Coke Zero or similar option and he looked me up and down, said “No,” and took my menu before I’d even ordered. The difference in how he treated older white guests compared to us was glaring. This wasn’t just “busy night” energy—this felt disrespectful.

That said, I’m fair in my reviews: the food was genuinely excellent (9/10). The filet mignon with the reduction sauce was delicious, and the tomato soup was exquisite. It’s frustrating because the kitchen is clearly doing their part—service just didn’t match the quality of the meal.

New year’s eve prefix. Good Alameda Island cheer. Personable friendly service. Pomegranate salad, beef wellington, pistachio panna cotta, perfect cocktail, and a nice bottle of wine. We loved it all.

$140 dinner including tax and tip for 2 people and the quality was not worth the cost imo. The short rib was dry and mashed potatoes lackluster. I liked that the fettuccini was freshly made. Most things undersalted. Overall mediocre execution but good quality ingredients.

Our server went above and beyond to make me a mocktail and get a corner booth with our reservation though so I appreciate that! They also have the coolest bartop I’ve ever seen, like lit up quartz or something haha

First time there tonight and it totally outpaced our expectations! I love looking for different places to dine and Park Street Tavern looked amazing online. So, I booked it. Food was incredibly delicious, drinks were outstanding, and the staff are super chill and awesome. A great choice for sure!! Thank you to our awesome server — Jasmine (and I apologize if I got your name wrong)!! Great dining experience!!

Setting the scene: went on a Friday evening; 7:30 reservation. They have a covered tent space with heaters and cute lights set up in their parking lot.

Food came at 8:30
Shrimp scampi was delicious.
The sausage appetizer is good, the sauce is super tasty, the homemade tzazeki was okay.
The lamb gyro was okay as well. I think the lamb seasoning doesn’t resemble what I know lamb gyro to be. The curly fries were good though.
My pear martini was super good. The pear taste in the martini was very refreshing to have.
Finished eating around 8:45. Got check at 9:05

Service was extremely slow. Either this is how eating out has always been and I just am not accustomed to it another because I don’t eat out much, if at all these days. The staff was nice, just slow.

My husband and I have been a few times, mostly for cocktails. They have a solid cocktail menu, and we love chatting with Ben and the other bartender (I can’t remember his name, tall, bald, glasses), who is also fantastic. They both make great drinks.

We finally had dinner there for my husband’s birthday, which happened to fall on a Monday, and good luck finding nice restaurants open on Mondays. Ana was our server and highly recommended the watermelon salad. She was right. It was amazing. Ana served us again two weeks later with friends on the bar side, also good food and great service.

For the birthday dinner both ordered steak. He got the filet and I had the rib eye. After being disappointed by the last four or five steaks I’ve had at restaurants, I was thrilled this one was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

I’ve lived in Alameda for 12 years, and I can’t believe it took us this long to get to this restaurant and bar.

Great staff, great food, great cocktails, happy hour specials. We’ll definitely be back.

I am so excited! There was a new item added oo the bar menu, deviled eggs! They are really good. They are perfectly complemented with a Cesaer salad. They provide a light meal without red meat. I am so pleased to have an option available. So sorry I ate several before I took the picture, but you get the idea.
