I’m a Chicago pizza girl — cracker-thin, square cut, extra saucy. But I’m still giving this New York spot five stars.
Walked in while the owner was mid-meeting and he immediately stopped to greet me. Then I completely missed the giant “pizza by the slice” sign and asked if they had slices. ♀️ . The owner kindly walked me through every option (and there were tons).
Ordered a classic cheese (because if your cheese isn’t good, I’m not coming back) and a vodka slice since that’s harder to find around here. Both were great — freshly shredded cheese (you can taste it), flavorful sauce, and a crust that was foldable but still crisp. The vodka had that creamy, slightly sweet balance that I love- although the red sauce has my heart.
Prices were fair, huge selection of slices, and you can tell the owner genuinely cares.
Is Chicago pizza still the best? Sorry, Pops! It is!
Will I be back to try the Sicilian and more toppings? Absolutely.

Pop’s Pizza of Mundelein absolutely delivered! The pepperoni and sausage pizza was fantastic — perfectly balanced flavors, generous toppings, and a crust that was crispy on the outside while still soft and fresh inside. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients.
Their lasagna is just as impressive — rich, hearty, and full of flavor, like true homemade comfort food. The pasta dishes are equally amazing, cooked perfectly and served with delicious, well-seasoned sauces. If you’re looking for great pizza and authentic Italian comfort food, this place is definitely worth visiting.

Heard about a new pizza place in town so we of course had to try it. I got a vodka sauce slice and my boyfriend got a pan pepperoni slice.
Vodka slice: I was very excited when I saw they had vodka sauce pizza, however I was slightly disappointed with the lack of vodka sauce on my slice that I got. That being said if I were to order a whole vodka pizza, I would probably just ask for extra sauce no biggie.
Pepperoni slice: This was good too, classic pepperoni slice that tasted good. Nothing bad to say about that.
Overall, it was a good first experience and we will definitely be ordering from here again soon. They have a lot of pizza options as well as pasta and appetizers that I’m looking forward to trying!

1st time ordering. Online didn’t give an option of pick up time, just a message that stated “order ready in 15 minutes” So I had to call after ordering to clarify a later pickup time. Pizza is tasty with large chunks of sausage. Cooked how I like it. Caesar salad good too. Unfortunately, one of my pizzas (the 16”) didn’t come as ordered. They forgot the green pepper and put onion and pepperoni on the whole pizza instead of just half. I checked the receipt to make sure it wasn’t my mistake. My wife likes the onion. I don’t, so was disappointed. My daughter loved her chicken and onion 12”.

I just tried this place today, Wednesday. The taco pizza was ok, very little ground beef on it and no taco seasoning in the beef. The spaghetti had almost no flavor and seemed almost leftover. The slice of cheese pizza was ok, but had little flavor. Antipasta salad was actually good. The cheese ravioli was ok for the most part but the kid did not care for it. I honestly expected more for the amount I paid. Will probably not go back here.

I can’t remember the last time I had a pizza that good! My favorite was the white pizza but the vodka sauce was excellent as well! Top notch service – so friendly. They make you feel like you totally belong there!!
