The workers are extremely rude. I called and placed an order to pickup. While talking on the phone with the worker I was asking her questions about the chicken. I was asking her about how spicy the different types were. She was really rude and hatful about it. She snapped at me and said “I don’t know how spicy it is” “I don’t make the food” then she hung up on me. I called back and another worker picked up. That worker was no help. All my food was hot and spicy and my family did not eat. That was $80 down the drain. Will not be back.

Great Taste Chinese Restaurant is our family’s FAVORITE Chinese restaurant around! They offer a nice variety of food and portions are nice sized. Definitely get your money’s worth! I do not eat fried rice anywhere but here. They are also very accommodating as far as substitutions go. They no longer offer the buffet, but it doesn’t bother us as we’ve always ordered off the menu. Highly recommend!

My family of 6 orders takeout here at least 3 times a month. That being said, it’s not cheap to do so. Usually the food is decent, for a Chinese restaurant in flatwoods, Kentucky. So when I pulled out the order of spare ribs for my husband and it was so undercooked that even the dog didn’t want to eat it, I called the restaurant. They told me that they wouldn’t refund the food and offered a store credit for the next time we order, or for them to be remade. BUT ONLY IF I BROUGHT THE FOOD BACK TO THE STORE????? Well that’s certainly not happening with a newborn.. We won’t be coming back. Do better for the customers that you can keep.

We recently visited here for the first time in five years and were very pleased with the results!
When this place was a buffet, I would leave with an upset stomach and a headache without fail each time – and so we just stopped going.
I received a gift card to the establishment, and so we decided to take advantage of that.
Not having been in five years, we were confused to see that the small buffet table had been removed and replaced with a long and very cluttered ordering counter.
The inside is extremely messy, unkempt, and outdated with awkward seat placement, an unorganized cleaning bar, and boxes all over the place. However, it didn’t appear to be dirty.
My family of five ordered our food and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity that we received. The food was very fresh, hot, and tasty, and is served in a higher quality to-go box complete with a lid – which we found to be quite convenient. The only drinks available were bottled ones inside a small cooler to the side, although there was a fountain drink station on top of the cleaning bar.
The young man who took our order was very helpful and good natured.
All in all, it was a good experience and we found that all the parts that really mattered to our dining experience were top notch. If they were to get their inside dining situation updated and organized, there’d be five stars for them from me! We can’t wait to visit again.

I’m so glad they were able to stay in business though the pandemic. They make great food and my family has always eaten here. I don’t like going when it’s packed to the gills because the seating is cramped and it’s hard to move back and forth to the buffet dodging all the folks and staff, not to mention it can get loud. Aside from that I enjoy this place and will keep eating here as long as they are in business.

We love it here. It’s one of our favorite Chinese restaurants out of all the ones that we go to all over. Not many people have as good as food as this place does the owner is always very helpful and polite and is up for good conversation while you wait, always greeted with a smileand the younger people that work here are all over it and are the same way. The only thing that would make it better is if they would bring the buffet back, but you can’t go wrong with about anything you ordered for takeout
