The atmosphere is very nice, elegant and casual all in one.
Outside seating if you like, great wine selections available and a full bar.
The food was delicious. We had the veal parmigiana and Arrabiata penne pasta.
We also tried the oysters on the half shell which were very fresh and delicious.
Our server was Nicole (Nicki) and she was excellent!
Enjoy!
Pasta Vino is mostly a disappointment the second you walk in the door. The layout of the “restaurant” seems thrown together and lacks direction. With a very large “sports” bar in the middle and tables spread out around it it was hard to tell if this was a failed attempt at a bar or a failing Italian restaurant. The staff were pleasant and quick, and the food delivered quickly but we quickly realized this was not going to go well. As soon as the waitress mentioned that this Italian restaurant offered sushi, I realized that they were throwing everything at the wall in hopes a profit would stick. As our bread arrived we quickly noted two issues. First the “garlic bread” was thrown into our basket upside down, as in garlic side down. It was extremely thin and lacked substance. The two “plain” rolls we received weren’t warm and the small single serve butter packets were just another sign that altough this establishment asked for “high end prices”, it didn’t deliver the high end results. When our entrees arrived we were eager to see if this was going to be the redeeming quality of the restaurant but we quickly realized this wasn’t going to be the case. My chicken parm was partially burnt and the chicken hard. Her eggplant parm had no breading and lacked taste. The sauce for the pasta was watery and didn’t really stick to the pasta well so you mostly ate plain pasta with a hint of red sauce. Overall the restaurant was a disappointment, the food was mediocre at best, and was way over priced. Save yourself the hassle. On a side note, if this was to attempt to become a bar, your TV’s are way to high above the bar.
Starting from the warm bread you get to the appetizers to your main dish–every bite is delicious. Have I mentioned their wood oven pizzas!? They’re a must try!! Little pricey at regular price, but they have them for happy hour too! I’ve been back 3 times in the same month. I really appreciate the consistency and the rich flavors they serve. Service doesn’t hold back either, everyone has been really nice and friendly! Definitely our new spot!
